If Justin Blackmon could've kept his nose clean he might be worth watching. This is just an epic battle of bad QB's and worse teams.

Best take on the game I've seen.

Iliketurtles;1687247 wrote:Well obviously Cleveland has to win there last 2 games but here is what else needs to happen with all the other possible WC teams for them to get in.

In week 16:
San Fran beats SD
Viks beat Miami
Texans beat Ravens
Steelers beat Chiefs
Raiders beat Bills
Broncos beat Bengals

Week 17:
SD and KC tie
Dolphins beat Jets
Pats beat Bills
Steelers beat Bengals
Jags beat Texans

Pats, Denver, Colts are still all the 1, 2, and 3 seeds. Then Steelers would get the 4, Bengals would be the 5, and Browns would be 6th.
In your scenario the Bengals don't have to lose twice.

If they are projected to be ahead of the Browns anyway (two wins by Browns, two losses by Bengals) them winning or losing doesn't change the Browns outcome.

The KC/SD tie has to happen, if either team wins they pass the Browns. Nice little site to help with playoff scenarios...

Everything else you have is correct and needed, except for the Bengals losing any games, that doesn't matter.

The TNF games usually suck and it really isnt fair to play that soon all the time. Any possibility the league would only give teams the game coming off of a bye? Wouldnt really be able to have TNF games all season if this was the case but come this time of year they can have games on Sat nights as well.

Cant do anything about the matchups, but at least give them time to be recouped from the last week.

No. The NFL only cares about player safety in situations where they can profit by fining players for committing unsafe acts. But definitely not in areas where player safety might take away from their profit.

If the Chargers lose, the Bengals odds of making the playoffs go to about 98%. The only way they would miss involves the Chiefs and Bills winning out. I believe they can clinch a spot before they even kickoff Monday night depending on games tomorrow.

The Aldon Smith injury timeout hurt SF. Still, they at least had a chance.

IF Pittsburgh wins tomorrow this 49ers debacle won't affect the AFC picture....but I'm sure SD will find a way.

It would possibly make the week 17 SD/KC game meaningless if SD doesn't close this out.

I see Kaepernick winning it...and I'm not sure why.

Congrats Chargers. I'm pretty sure that post was submitted about 10 seconds before that cough up fumble.

When Boger blinds a a player costing the league tens of millions I'll consider dropping him below Triplette

I was drunj when i posted that, however the chargers still had to beat denver in denver to get in the playoffs last year. Not to mention they ended the season with a 4 game winning streak (won 5 of their last 6), and even won a playoff game against a cincy team that beat them in SD in the regular season. They might have had some luck on their side with that missed FG, but hardly would classify that as "shitting" their ways into the playoffs. Teams who "shit" their ways into the playoffs tend to lose their last few games, but since everyone else shit themselves, they still make it.

Fine....it was shitty for me as my Steelers did everything they needed to do and about 4 other lucky things happened but they ran out of luck as the Chiefs (who I think we're resting a few starters) missed that damn FG that would've put my team in.

The worst part was we were in some meh pub in Ocean City and some random weird guy was supporting a San Diego Chargers jersey and sitting right beside us. Sure

Seems like the Chargers are always on the brink of elimination every other year and somehow work their way into the playoffs...I could do without last year repeating itself though.
