I'll pick up this thread from the UC Huddlers, who have done this periodically over the course of this season--the year of the Bearcat doing their K-State '98 rendition as the program du jour for the year.
1) Ohio State
2) Cincinnati. Compete boys (and do so before Meyer sends in the third stringers)
3) Ohio
4) Bowling Green
5) Kent
UC's run as the Flavor of the Month has come crashing down the past month. They'll go 8-4 next year, then 6-6 in 2011. Back to the same old pattern there: regression to the norm

1 Cincy
2 Ohio State
Ohio State's 2 losses came to teams with a combined 11 regular season losses... UC is losing to a team that's lost 1 out of the past 2 or 3 dozen games??

Until UC can beat Ohio State, they can't be ahead of them. We played them like 5 or 6 times since 2000 and they never came close.athlete37 wrote: 1 Cincy

I don't think they would fare much better against our defense now considering the struggles they are having with the UF defense (not that we are on UF's level defensively, but we are very talented).

you're so full of shit.
Cincy wins a WEAK Big East with marquee wins over a Pitt team who squeaked by North Carolina in the bowl game and also lost to 4-8 NC State, Illinois, who went 4-8, and Oregon st. who lost the civil war then went and got blasted by BYU in the Vegas Bowl.
Bucks win the Rose Bowl and yeah, Purdue should have never happened but nobody saw that shit coming from USC.

Guess Ohio State can't be ahead of Air Force or 8 of the SEC schools then...DaBrowns41 wrote:Until UC can beat Ohio State, they can't be ahead of them. We played them like 5 or 6 times since 2000 and they never came close.athlete37 wrote: 1 Cincy

what does Air Force or the rest of the SEC have to do with this argument? We took two of the SEC's top teams(yeah, I consider Auburn up there) to the wire and beat one of them.

He's a ND troll. He's just trying to pay back the OSU trolls that bring up Notre Dame in every thread. Pay him no mind.

Cincy beat all of those teams you mentioned... Purdue lost to a depleted ND team at home...USC lost to a team that didn't make a bowl... Can't use the argument for one team and than use different standards for another. I didn't see Cincy making this argument a few years ago when you guys lost in the NC game and they won their bowl after three close losses to teams better than USC and Purdue were this yeardarbypitcher22 wrote: ^^^^

Yeah obviously Ohio St looks like the better team NOW. But you have to remember why a lot of people had the opinion that Cincy was better. They went undefeated and had an outstanding offense. Ohio St got beat by a horrible Purdue team and an average USC. However, Cincinnati did get exposed big time tonight

You're an idiot, those are teams that Ohio State has lost to the last time they played them and I think failed to beat ever...darbypitcher22 wrote: ^^^^

Ohio State lost to Air Force because Coop was leading an unmotivated team into a shitty Liberty Bowl that nobody wanted to be at. Show up with no reason to play and you're going to get beat.

Florida only gets a "fairly decent" rating?
Oregon got their shit pushed in by Boise State. Oregon really hasn't played a good team from the east to know how good they really are.

HA HA HA . lets get serious folks. We all know that offense sells tickets and defense wins games...OSU would control the clock big time vs UC and hold them to 10-13 pts......UC has no answer for the OSU running game or the broken plays by Pryor.

My rebuttal is, how many teams that have been great, and won a LOT of football games over the years have dropped to mediocre or worse teams?jordo212000 wrote: Yeah obviously Ohio St looks like the better team NOW. I mean USC has what, 4 game losing streak each season to a less than stellar Pac-10 team on the road?
Florida lost to Ole Miss last season and went on the win a NC game.
Prior to this season, the only teams OSU was losing too were top 10 football teams, Texas, USC, Florida, LSU, etc.

you're bound to lose one you shouldn't every once in a while( it happens to USC yearly). Purdue was our game this year. It doesn't happen often under Tress. It happens a lot more often under other guys around the country

UC doesn't even have a coach for this game and they're not playing Air Force, they're playing the team who's been number one for how long? Last time OSU played UC they didn't have Brian Kelly, so the Cooper argument is outdarbypitcher22 wrote: Ohio State lost to Air Force because Coop was leading an unmotivated team into a shitty Liberty Bowl that nobody wanted to be at.
