The Tigers started the season off with a win and currently ranked #1 in the region! It is hard to see anyone on their schedule beating them. We didn't play well last night and still rolled to victory (a sign of a great team). The article refers to one of the major advantages that our combine gives us

"Massillon’s depth, in the end, proved too much for the Panthers to overcome. How the Panthers respond to the loss will determine a lot about where their season goes from here.

“Yeah, obviously we got worn down,” Wakefield said. “We’ve got nine guys playing both ways. It’s pretty obvious."

Im not sure rolled to victory is good wording considering they took the lead with 54 seconds left and basically trailed the entire game.

31-7 in the second half was very dominating. I will admit that we came out slow in the first half. I don't want to make excuses, but it is a challenge to put a team together in a couple of weeks. Other than possibly a quick hello at the combine, most of these kids didn't even know each other until camp started a few weeks ago. The shortened hitting days from the old schedule really hurts our program more than others.

How did this game play out? How about a box score.

You got dominated one half, and dominated one half=even game! Not rolled! Tigers aren't very good this year. Got "Rolled" in one scrimmage, beat a rebuilding Willoughby South team, and escaped with a win last night. This team drops 2 games, and most likely one and done in playoffs.

Once our team had a chance to get used to playing together, it was truly men vs. boys.

We currently have the most computer points in the state. We are only a D2 school, but we don't back down from anyone. We don't even play any D2 schools until the playoffs.

Lol you have the most points because your one of about 10 schools that has played so far! Your right you don't play D2, you play D 4/5 schools. Steubenville, Ursuline, St V., and a poor Canadian team. Not to mention Akron Garfield who is a D2 patsy! Three potential losses, and a short playoff stay.

Most teams have played by now, and we still have the most computer points in the state. Big Red, Ursuline, and St. V represent some of the best middle and small schools in the state. They have each won several state championships. We at Massillon are the greatest big school with the most state championships. The fans of Ohio were asking to see the greatest big school champion take on some of the smaller division champions. It will be a nice gate for the small schools (very similar to how the large colleges play small colleges to help them make money). It won't be much of a contest (just look at our history with Big Red). Big Red has beaten us 5 times in about 50 attempts.

Did you guys win any more state titles during this offseason, or still stuck at 22 or 24?

We didn't win any state titles this off season, so we are still at 24. Our feat of winning 2 state titles in one offseason has never been accomplished before. Our 24 state titles make us legendary.

Glenoak is only ranked 24 in their region. We have the most points in the entire state. They will be thankful that Ohio has put in a mercy rule for continuous clock. We should have some very fast games this year because of this new rule. The downside to this rule for society will be when we play Stuebenville and those kids are out on the streets for an extra hour.
