Wow. What a pitch. Don't even want to see the replay.

Gotta give Tito a lot of credit. He just went after it tonight. 8th inning, up 1-0, and he was gonna put any pitcher he thought would get an out on the bump. Worked out, as Tribe escaped only giving up the tying run. Bullpen was almost completely used up before the extras, but worth it as it got them the W.

Wow....that was a crazy finish....all's well that ends well.

I agree with ironman....why run Santana and run yourself out of an inning?
All in all though, I like the Tribe being aggressive on the basepaths. I complained all last year about them being timid....epecially when they had Stubbs on base. This year, as of late, they have been pressuring the defense, and for the most part it is working. I think that is something you have to do when the scoring isn't plentiful.

11 games left with Detroit & Kansas City. If they can gave a winning record in those 11 games, there's a real chance they take the Central.

Looking ahead at their remaining schedules I heard Cleveland had the easiest remaining but I don't see much difference.

I see Detroit going 17-10, Cleveland 16-12 and KC 13-14

I think that would put Detroit 91-71, KC 87-75, Cleveland 86-76

I think the Yankees get to 86 wins and Mariners 86 also.

I don't mind Ironman joining/posting on our threads as long as he brings respectful commentary and thoughtful discussion and not just troll the threads. He's a knowledgable baseball guy, and I've never found him to be selfishly irritating.

That was a mentally exhausting game just to watch let alone to actually be involved playing it...and we still have a month in the season. With no place or time to relax, I don't know how they can keep up that mental edge.

One advantage that the Tribe has, is that their manager is seasoned, and that the core of the team has been through the grind before. Last year, the Tigers coasted home and the Royals faded....advantage Indians.

Fond memories there especially Kirkland and Baby Huego. I think Woody's parents had to have had a cynical side to name him Woody. Woody held is what happens when you looked at Playboy magazine.

Yeah, no issues with people posting on the Tribe threads if it isn't to troll. I92, Heretic and I think mhs are all fine by me.

So, I take it that my post about the Reds not playing last night after Ironman's 20 posts is being taken that I don't like him posting on Tribe threads?

It was just a little poke, that's all.

Ironman: you are A-OK with me.

My apologies.

Lol...I can take it....but plan on posting 150-200 posts during tonight's game.

Big game...both teams need it equally. Royals losing steam and greatly remind me of the Pirates 2 years ago and their losing 9 of 13 at home in front of 30,000+ reminds me of the Reds in 2010-2013

Ha ha! I don't think that's possible.

Wait.......that might sound like a challenge.

:-) <----smiling emoticon to let all know that I am happy with Ironman.

More good news for the good guys as Detroit gets waxed and the Yanks blow a big lead. Seattle clings to a one run lead late.Tribe has been winning series as of late but haven't swept anybody. It would be too sweet to get it done tonight. Either way, they remain in this thing with a month to go. In Tito we trust.
