Chapman takes the mound in the 9th with a 4 run lead, and promptly walks the first 4 batters!

Something is wrong with Chappy. He looks sick.

And that sets it up for one of Drew Stubbs most gratifying hits of his career. He hits a 2 out walk-off 3-run HR for an 8-7 Rockies win!mhs95_06;1645058 wrote:Chapman takes the mound in the 9th with a 4 run lean, and promptly walks the first 4 batters!

DREW MOTHERFUCKING STUBBS
Also, JJ Hoover sucks so bad. Literally have no idea why he's still on the roster.

That save opportunity for Hoover was tougher than coming in at the beginning of the 9th with a one run lead - equivalent to coming in with no out in the 9th with a 1 run lead and the typing run on 1st. The goat of the game was Chapman. Price should not have chosen the safe option(use your closer with a 4 run lead), and used Hoover to start the 9th(then his two retired and one HR given up would have made it still a 7-4 lead for the Reds and 2 out and none on.

LOL, don't even know what else to say. Probably going to take another week break from watching. This shit is just too annoying day in and day out.

In Coors, relief pitchers should not be using curve balls and sliders, but just change-ups to go with their fastballs. With the thin air all breaking balls are just hangars! The Rockies know the approach to take both pitching and hitting in their own park and they play way over their head there and are way below .500(18-44) in other teams home parks.

Yeah! Whatever the score was! I guess since Chapman couldn't get a strikeout in Colorado, he decided to keep the ball away from the hitters and walk them until he got taken out of the game!!!SportsAndLady;1645066 wrote:10-9

This was Price. The more relievers you use the more likely the dud gets in. Jumbo was fine, took him out. Brox was fine, took him out with a 4 run lead and another game to play!!!!
Chappy sucked.
Hoover needs DFA'd

Did not they send Leake ahead to StL to get some rest, or are you more worried about the position players being lethargic on offense and defense?Ironman92;1645099 wrote:Looks like we might steal a win....Leake has NO prayer tomorrow at St Louis

Axelrod's prospective victory vaporizes on Contreras' 7th inning and Santiago's errors in judgement and execution - was at least one step too far away from the 3rd base bag to effectively do what he tried to do.

5 runs by the Rockies in the 8th pretty much seals the double loss today by the Reds in games they had 3 or more run leads late! They'll limp late into StL in bad shape physically and mentally. Good night!

Guys, it's football season, stop putting any emotion into the Reds and just check their scores every night. You will enjoy life way more that way.

I'm a terrible season jumper....don't do it much. Will watch Reds every night thru game #162. Will watch football when the regular season begins. Will really get into football when the World Series is over. Hopefully the Steelers are .500+ at that time.

We're 4.5 games out now which makes me even more pissed off that we fucking gave away 2 games. Should be a half game out but now it really is over.thavoice;1645172 wrote:What a joke of a Sunday.

Some seasons I wouldnt scoff at being 4.5 back, but with this team and the number of others competing I think it is safe to say this one is overRotinaj;1645181 wrote:We're 4.5 games out now which makes me even more pissed off that we fucking gave away 2 games.
