Too bad Santana's shot didn't have a little
mor hang time or take a tougher hop, Brantley only needed another second to be sent home and score. Instead, we strand
him on 3rd.
But nice bounce back inning!!

I'm pumped for Andrew to start tonight. From Fremont baseball club as 11-12 year olds to pitching in the big leagues crazy.

Hey, maybe that catch by Raburn helps to erase that stupid boner play of the year!

I just realized that Chaffin's KSU coach is my old pal, Mike Birkbeck. (Former MLB pitcher)

Good pitching (poor hitting) so far. Scoreless in the 7th. Royals and Tigers both winning.

Great job by Scrabble and Shaw in the 8th to work out of that jam.

Should be embarrassed by the lineup trotted out there in game 2. Good lord.

11 chances to score a single run and win a game. That one hurts.
Especially with an off day today and staying at home. Arizona had no business winning a getaway game in the 12th inning of the 2nd game of a doubleheader when they had to be on a plane to Miami right after the game.

Looks like Axford was traded to the Pirates, no one seems to know what PIT gave up (likely some polish for the Thome statue)

Such a frustrating game to watch. It was almost as if Zach Walters walk off to win game one, caused them all to want to be a hero and swing for the fences. I almost thru the remote at the TV after watching Santana's AB (Strike out)....after Brantley had doubled to open the 11th inning. All he needed to do was put the ball in play and move the runner along....SMH...and it was like that the whole second game.TBone14;1644083 wrote:11 chances to score a single run and win a game. Looks like all the Pirates gave up for Axford was that they have to pay the rest of his salary. With everything you've all said about Dolan, I'm guessing he'd probably rather be off the hook for that $1.1M than actually get anything in return (not that a pitcher like Axford would bring in anything more than minor league organizational depth).ts1227;1644243 wrote:Looks like Axford was traded to the Pirates, no one seems to know what PIT gave up (likely some polish for the Thome statue)
