Yeah but he played in 113 and led the league I believe. I checked him for 40 but not in the 30's....also checked Junior and Bagwell and now worried Matt Williams is another so I must now checkSonofanump;1641838 wrote:I think that happened due to the strike season, so he played most of the games that year.

COA sent me a message a couple months ago asking me to do a question with him as the answer.....I created the criteria to make it a very tough find. He definitely fit my type of player for one of my trivia answers.Sonofanump;1641851 wrote:Where did you come up with this, I found the answer and I am stunned.

I researched the question for 100 RBI, 100 runs, 100 walks and 40 HR.....but figured one could easily look through baseball reference single season HR leaders and find it pretty easily.....so I took it down to 30 HR for this question and had already checked Thomas, but checked for 40 and checked numerous who might've had 30 but excluded the Big HurtLaley23;1641932 wrote:I did and got confused lol
sonofump found Thomas and then later found Pronk

The thread motivated me to look up some old stats.........My goodness, Ted Williams won the batting title in 1941 at .406 and 16 years later at .388.
