We all know the Parade was created just to pass the time in the morning for the fans of the football teams playing in the Bowl. Not really, since it was the 121st Tournament of Roses Parade and the 96th Rose Bowl Game. I think that the Parade has a greater history and viewwership than the game, and the poor decision by NBC should be addressed by the Buckeye Nation...

Obviously a lot of people do care. Go look at NBC 4's website and NBC's national website. A lot of comments made by a lot of pissed off folks.

Don't be bitter just because Michigan's days in the Rose Bowl are done for a while. If that happened to UM, you know the fan base would be irate.

No shit...you would think that if they were only gonna show one of the two bands, they would at least show the one that does NOT suck. Oregon's band looked completely hideous (ballcaps and track suits? really? who does that?) both in appearance and playing ability. Maybe they didn't get a chance to listen to the bands before hand :rolleyes: Half of OSU's band would have sounded better than Oregon's.

I'm one the biggest Buckeye fans there is...my second son's middle name is Hayes...and even I could care less whether the band gets air time. Actually unless I'm at a game in the 'Shoe I could give a rat's ass about the damn band. My seats are next to a couple of former band members that got married in '93 and their constant yabbering about the band during games drives me nuts.

People normally tend to watch parades to see the band...thus it makes sense that some are upset. If you don't care about the band that's fine but if someone tuned in specifically to see TBDBITL and they weren't shown they have good reason to complain. It's not as though they are complaining about not seeing them during the game or some other event. It's the Rose PARADE.
