BTW, some other news. Sounds like Cingrani may be shut down for the year. He went down to the minors a month ago, with plans to pitch right away in Louisville. However, he hasn't made an appearance and has a left shoulder impingement. It sounds VERY similar to what people talked about with both Nick Masset and Sean Marshall, and well, we're 0 for 2 with those guys.

66 K's in 32.1 innings. Remarkable.

The reds fucking suck.
I'd love to see them trade Bruve. He's never getting better.

Nice catch by the girl in right field. She probably hits as well as the Reds do, too. Ba da bump.

Votto won't be back til next year, if they are smart.
BP, I think, has several weeks still.

Phillips was 8-12 weeks. A thumb ligament is a bad injury for an infielder. Even if he can "come back", will he even be effective?

I'm headed to bed. Quoted for accuracy.Azubuike24;1639807 wrote:We've seen this script MANY TIMES. Chapman will come in, get through 9. Reds won't win. Broxton or LeCure through the 10th, Reds won't win. We then go deeper in the pen, to someone unreliable or who can easily have an off night. Reds lose 2-1 or 3-1 in 11 or 12.

I thought I heard in the beginning with the same injury Molina 12 weeks and Phillips 6 weeks. I wondered then why the difference was so great. Are they now saying Phillips is a lot more? In my mind, neither Phillips and Votto would be of any help this year. And Votto may be of no more good for his life.Azubuike24;1639825 wrote:Phillips was 8-12 weeks. They couldn't score to get the win for Homer, Aroldis, or Broxton, but can they for Jumbo?

At least LeCure is coming in instead of fucking Hoover. Thought for sure Hoover would be coming in and would give up 2 in the top of 13 here.

Why would anyone waste any more time watching this team? Can't score >1 run in 15 innings, only to have their pitcher who shouldn't even be in the majors come in and give up the losing run.

Bruce 0-4 3K
Heisey 0-6 2K
BHam 0-6 3K
Frazier 0-6 4K
Santiago should start every day somewhere until BP returns

When I woke this morning a slightly altered line from Major League popped in my head.
"1 goddamn run"?
YOu cannot say goddamn on the radio.
"its ok, nobody is listening".
Price talked about accountability alot in the offseason and us reds fans loved to hear that. With that said, he needs to move Hoover. You cannot be 1-8 and still be on the roster. Send him down. NOW. He has good stuff and the last two seasons his numbers have been pretty good but he needs fixed somehow. Every single guy in the minors could be 1-8 at the bigs. He is a waste. Has good stuff at times, but his record speaks for itself.

A step further. It's time to face the reality that this season is over. Performances have been lackluster. Injuries have been abundant. Luck has been against us. It's done. There's no salvaging it, and even if there was a MIRACLE, you're not going to catch THREE teams in the division and nobody from the Central is going to win the wild card.
You have three days to dump anyone who is not financially or physically part of your "plan" in 2015. This includes guys who you may not be able to keep after 2015 OR look to trade in 2015. Broxton. Ludwick. Latos/Cueto. Anyone else a team might want. It includes shopping Cueto and Chapman, guys who are having absolutely insane seasons. It includes guys like Bruce, who you're selling low on, but might net a high return in a seller's market because of his cost-effectiveness and age.
Walt has a job to secure and IMO, he needs to do SOMETHING bold.

I know they like having power from a righty and lefty with Brox and Chap, but both are not needed. They are luxuries on a team that cannot fucking hit the ball. They should unload one of those two guys. Cueto is going to command well over 20 million when his deal is made. Love to keep the guy as he is a blast to watch but by signing him to what he will command it could absolutely kill what they could spend on the offense. I am a pitching type of guy and believe you can never have too much good pitching, but when you factor in $$$ you can SPEND too much on pitching.
I agree this season is over. Getting to the point I am not even making it a priority to listen to them while doing stuff out in the yard every evening. Hard to give up on a team wthat is near .500 but this team is deathly hard to follow
