...and if there's one criticism I have of Tito, it's that when handling his pitchers he has a tendency to go with the "book" way too much instead of his gut.

I feel like we have been saying that for longer than I can remember.The offense needs to step it up.
Good thing that while within striking distance of the Wild Card we will likely stand pat at the trade deadline (just like we did in the off-season) rather than get some help to try and drag us over the hump.

^^^without looking it up...it seems to me his last two outings prior to last night were pretty good. Not too bad for a middle to back end of the rotation guy. I mean the offense got him five runs in the second inning....but what happened to the rest of the game?

Salazar on the hill to try to salvage a game in the series.....in the bottom of the second and no score. The Tribe has not gotten a hit yet.

IMO, Salazar is a reliever, not a starter. He just doesn't seem to have the head or stamina to go more than three or four strong innings....and Hits, 5 runs is plenty.
