Great 96 mph 2-2 pitch, Cueto's 89th, to K Cutch and get thru the 5th with a 3-2 lead!

Great play by Martin to foil the suicide squeeze. No fault of Negron.

Can't blame anyone on that really, other than the manager.

What does Zack Cozart do well?

Reds give the run back pretty quick and Cozart's failure to get the first out really hurts until the Martin boner on the bases.

Negron has looked able to give good at bats....

Hopefully he can mix in with Santiago/Schu to do enough until BP gets back and hopefully BP doesn't come back until he's more than ready. I can definitely see him wiggling back in before he's really good to go.

Lol at the pirates not sweeping this reds squad. They're putting a terrible lineup out there right now.

Thom made a good point about as a manager you need to also consider the pitcher being around the plate in calling a squeeze. WHen I was coaching HS baseball we squeezed more than most, if not all, teams. There were a few diff factors you would consider and one def was the control of the pitcher. Of course, in HS you are much more likely to get a PB/WP than in the bigs but still.

At the break this team is in much better position than I think any one of us would have thought a month ago. Many times when the big guys get hurt everyone starts to pick up their game instead of relying on the main guys to get it done.
