Leading off, Billy's full count drive to LCF takes a high bounce over the fence to hold him to a double, then frazier's grounder to SS which would have scored him from 3rd is an unproductive out!

Votto then K's for the 2nd unproductive out, then BP singles for the RBI picking up both Frazier and Votto!

Pena gets a rare base hit that doesn't advance the runner on board!

Cozart 6-4-3 DP ball and Latos 1st pitch fly ball to deep right makes the promising 2nd(2 on, none out) result in no score for the Reds.

Latos thru 2 on 28 pitches giving up one hit with 3 Ks, two of which we're on failures to hold check swings on good low breaking balls, and the third called on a great 0-2 slider on the low outside corner on Braun.

Latos retired 13 in a row to get to 2 out in the 6th on 72 pitches. Then Gennett doubled to left on his 13th pitch. Latos was able to keep the 1-0 lead intact thru 6 by getting Braun to fly out to deep center. And that's it for Latos as Price turns it over to the bullpen to try to hold the lead for 3 innings.

Price = idiot.

Latos exits after 6. Reds lead 1-0. He brings in Ondrusek. He walks a batter, allows a single, sacrifice over to 2nd/3rd and then a ground out. Man on 2nd, 2 outs, he brings in Parra to face a righty Rickie Weeks. Weeks then singles to give the Brewers a 1-run lead.

The Reds pen is more than rested. They lead the league in FEWEST bullpen innings. However, Price goes to Ondrusek and Parra, the 2 worst arms on the team in a critical 1-0 game.

Baffling.

Hoover does it again, 2 R HR to Braun after Billy gives it his all to try to catch Gennett's blooper.

Yep. Then Price goes to Hoover. Allows a 2-run HR to Braun. Seriously, the guy uses the 3 worst performing pitchers on the entire team in a crucial situation.

Price needs fired.

Continuously going to Hoover in crucial situations is a fireable offense.

Ondrusek hadn't allowed a run his last 7 appearances in 9 2/3 innings

Hoover had only allowed a run 2x in his last 13 appearances spanning 17 innings

If I was in Vegas I'd have put whatever money I had left on the Brewers to win this game. Knew it was a loss from the get go.

1.63 WHIP. AKA, lucky as fuck. They both suck.

First 3 innings, Reds had lead-off walk, and two lead-off doubles with only one run to show for it until they scored their 2nd in the 8th after falling behind 2-1 in the 7th. Pretty poor offense - need to add on!

Then if Latos gets Gennett out in the 6th on a normal number of pitches, he gets to go out for the 7th, and all the pitchers that gave up runs in the 7th and 8th wouldn't have even been in the game.

Ondrusek in last 7 games was 9 2/3 inn, 7 hits, 3 BB, 9 K.....WHIP about 1.10

Hoover (I agree he sucks)....but prior 13 appearances covered 17 1/3 inn allowing a ridiculous 9 BB but just 9 hits.....for a WHIP under 1.10

Scoring 2 runs isn't going to win many games. I'm just going to continue blaming the offense no matter what.
