Me and Gerb were returning from Breezewood PA and on the turnpike coming out of the mountains, a black bear climbs over the jersey barrier and barrels towards us. His and dents the front steel bumper on the cargo van, takes off the hub cap on the front driver's , and dented in right in front of drivers side rear tire. He then scampered into the woods. Never to be seen again I presume.


Tldr: I hit a fucking black bear in a cargo Van in the pa mountains on the turnpike. Gerb was with me.

thanks for for playing along.

The fact that you were in Breezewood caught my eye. A buddy of mine once wrote a song with that city in it. I never heard of it before the song. But once, while traveling through PA, I saw the sign for the exit. #MindBlown Now, everytime I go through, I take a picture and send it to him.

We have black bears all over the place. They have spotted about 4-5 going through peoples back yards in the suburbs. In Harrisburg. I'm hoping there will be one less black bear come October lol I've actually had 2 bobcats walk up on me under my tree stand while deer hunting last year. Pretty cool to see.

Saw one dead on the road when heading to Seneca Casino in NY. Casino is on an Indian reservation so it's pretty rural. So used to see the sign with a deer on it to warn you about deer crossing but it's very weird to see a bear crossing sign.

I hit a black angus cow with my black Honda Civic on a 4 lane highway nearly 7 years ago.....dark out and it was sideways in the road....hit it before ever touching the brakes, killed cow, totaled car, shook me the fuck up....I thought it was a bear

This wasn't a cub it was a juvenile about 2 to 3 years old. I had no chance to stop or anything.
