The ones that get the free stuff aren't competing lol. They are just fooled into thinking they are. My favorite thing I heard yesterday was Colin Cowherd saying that Cuban compared young black men in hoodies to skinheads. Cowherd is proving Cubans point exactly. All Mark Cuban said was a bald white guy with tattoos and Cowherd thinks any bald white man with tattoos is a skinhead.

Didn't he actually say he would cross back over? So he would actually prefer to encounter the hoodie than tattoo face? The simple fact is groups of young males dressed poorly are someone to avoid, just like homeless/disheveled/drunk/drugged people are. That's just basic common sense as such people commit most street crimes.

I actually have some faith in the USA with all of the backlash that is happening. He shouldn't have apologized at all...and Huffington Post/MSNBC is getting hammered.

The real stereotype/bigotry here is that groups of poor teens commit a hugely disproportionate number of crimes...blacks are disproportionately poor - which I believe is a fact, not racism.
It's profiling...a difficult issue for police, but not racism and no harm from an individual practicing it to the extent they cross the street.

I didn't take anything he said as being racist. To me it was about being uncomfortable.
I'm not racist in any way, but I'd do the exact same thing he said. It's not because I'm racist, it's because it'd make me uncomfortable of my surroundings. There's nothing wrong with that.
Nobody had a problem with being able to freak out if some Arabs were going to be on your flight...

Time and place is also a huge factor. I'm far less leery at the mall, game, at the beach, etc....very different if I'm lost in poor area I don't know.Midstate01;1619238 wrote:To me it was about being uncomfortable.

Agreed. Or like here on base, I never see a white person or Hispanic person and move away or feel uncomfortable.
