If you are bothered by a kiss you're probably an asshole.
Also ESPN is fucking ridiculous. They cut to "an openly gay sports bar" after Sam was picked. There aren't really "closeted gay bars" or at least everyone I've ever been in has been pretty damned obvious.
As for Sam, I wouldn't be surprised if the dude got cut since the Rams have crazy depth at that position. I also wouldn't be surprised if he gets picked up by someone else in that scenario. Regardless of underwhelming pre-draft performances the dude was still SEC DPOTY. Since he's not going to be very expensive he's probably worth giving a shot for some team that needs someone in that position.

How many times do I have to watch this guy kissing his boyfriend on TV? How many other 7th round draft picks have a house full of people with TV cameras on hand like they just were picked #1?
You don't see other 7th rounders getting that attention. But other 7th rounders aren't the first openly gay guys in the NFL so it makes sense that he'd be a story that gets focused on. While it might not seem like a big deal to a lot of people it is definitely a big deal to a bunch of gay kids on football teams or really any other sports. That's why these things get so much attention. Because he made it and it didn't matter that he was gay, just that he could tackle the hell out of the QB. It's important for a lot of kids who aren't in positions where they feel comfortable or safe being themselves to see that it won't necessarily always be that way.
