Votto totally changed that inning. Down 1-2 count after a pathetic opening AB by Heisey, rallies to draw a walk. Completely changes the outlook for the pitcher. Frazier and Phillips were aggressive, which is their STRENGTH, and it worked out.

Regardless of where he has played....I feel very comfortable in saying Skip Shumaker can play any IF position right at as good as the IF backups and is a MLB hitter.

Yeah I'm sure can play short or third, but John Fay (whom I hate) said on the radio the other day that Skip only plays 2nd, and since BP plays pretty much every game, he'll only be used as an outfielder.

Cozart made the right decision on the surprise bunt by Heisey.

Before every pitch in that AB Heisey was sneaking a look down 3rd.....do his teammates not know this? They can be on 3rd and see a quick glance and get a better jump.

Agree he would've been out.....I just don't understand how others don't know he's doing it.

Cozart needed to see that Heisey was bunting and get a little of a head start, soon as he makes contact, you take off. He didn't do that, and it's still 3-3.

Was good timing by Thom right before speaking of Cozart not getting a good secondary lead because Middlebrooks was in a bit and as Heisey bunted Middlebrooks was moving before Cozart who was damn near flat footed.

Heisey at least did well getting it to Votto, who then imitated Heisey lol
