Still laughing at the Bulls trade offer. Such a joke.

And exactly how many times do teams "hit" on 1st rounders at the back end of the draft? If things go as planned, that's where the Cavs will be drafting. Dump Waiters, Bennett (or TT) and a couple of future 1st rounders and add Love. Not rocket science.

I don't know. Ask Miami how they feel about building a 3 max deal team with a bunch of aging washed up veterans without any future draft picks. Miami won't win another title for 30 years minimum.

Big difference.....Cavs have a young core, which they will keep pieces of. Miami didn't have that.

What you want is long term winning when what will likely happen is a WHOLE lot of winning with NO rings....just like when he was here the first time. Awesome! Loved that when the Indians won ALL of those World Series rings, with all of that young talent ("we don't want to trade our 'young' Jaret Wright for Pedro Martinez") in the late 90's....oh, yeah.....:(

Trade away Bennett, Waiters, + draft picks and your young core becomes 3 max-deal players + a bunch of aging vets. It's a lot riskier. I won't be pissed if that's the trade, but if we give up Wiggins I will be beyond pissed.

Twitter starting to Buzz with Love deal being some what soon. Haven't been able to find real specifics though.

Maybe the Wolves realized once that amazing offer of Butler/Gibson came in, that Waiters, Bennett/TT and some Picks was really best they could do.

Yep terrible mentality. If the goal is to win now and for the next few years you do what it takes to get Kevin Love. I don't care what Lebron says he wants to win right away, not wait 4 years til Andrew Wiggins develops.

Lol cannot disagree with you more BR, but that seems to be the theme of our Cleveland team's opinions over the years.

Love doesn't guarantee a championship. All it guarantees is we are limited in our support of future teams with ANY decent additions due to having 3 max players.

Ask San Antonio how they're doing with their late first pick, kawhi leonard

Pretty sure they've won 2 more than about 1/2 the rest of the NBA has....but they did it in 4 years.

Wonder if Bills fans would like a title from the 1990's. They've been inept ever since and never got a title. Utah Jazz, Sac Kings, Phoenix Suns.

Not sure how many years of being inept would be allowable per championship.

True but Kevin Love with Lebron and Kyrie guarantee they win the East which puts them at good odds to win a title. Ideally you want to keep Wiggins but he isn't going to be in his prime for 6 or 7 years and may not become a star for 3 or 4. Can't waste the best player on the planet's prime years while you wait for his game to develop. Let's hope for Cav's fans sake that they can find a third team and make the deal without shipping off Wiggins. Leonard was the 15th pick overall also.

they traded a player (george hill) to get that pick also. Not like they used their own late 20's draft pick

Chris Sheridan ‏@sheridanhoops 34s Seems the Wolves are leaking Bulls, Nuggets interest. Trying to drive up bids. #Cavs threat to sign Wiggins on Wed. is deal pusher, too.

Sounds like Flip is stirring shit.

Splitting hairs but Kawhi was actually 15th overall, so more like mid-round pick :)

Stand by my statements don't want to move Wiggins, unless we get 2 assets from MIN.

More like Flip clawing desperately for a chance at Wiggins.

But George Hill who they traded to get Leonard was like 28th overall! Then the Spurs also have had decent late round picks in guys like Splitter and Barbosa... o and there was this guy Tony Parker they got late in the first round too. Now granted it's the Spurs so they are pretty much an exception to almost every rule.

But I wouldn't give up 2 1st rounds and 2-3 other young players for Love. You're seriously mortgaging your future doing that. In 5 years Love most likely wouldn't be in Cleveland but these young players/the draft picks are more likely to still be there.

No one knows. I've heard multiple trades with the most popular being Wiggins/Bennett/1st for Love and Waiters, Bennett, 2 1st for Love. I hope its neither but prefer the latter.

I'm a dummy. Explain what exactly this means as far as helping toward a trade.

Id definitely trade for Love if you are keeping Wiggins. That is SO much scoring and 2 lock-down defenders. AV is a solid C, especially on a team like that. He will have so many rebounds (offensive, especially). You now have a Big 3 + Wiggins, which, imo, gives you a big 4 by the playoffs next year. But, you have this for the next 4 years. LeBron is not ever leaving Cleveland again. He will start to age, but Wiggins will probably stay if LeBron is around...now you have Wiggins as a superstar and Kyrie as a stud (assuming he looks better with these guys). Players will want to still come there and play with those 2...and who knows if Love is still around or not, but he is only 25.

That is a pretty no brainer deal to me.
