As Clint Hurdle said it best......he's been in baseball for 35 years and Cutch is the only MLB player he's ever met that is good enough to bat 3rd and good enough to marry his daughter.

Like I said, IF he is top 5 in ERA AND innings, meaning he shows he's good and healthy, do you sign him to that deal? I mean, I can show you dozens and dozens of pitchers who sign a big contract the year before they are set for free agency. Question was, if he's willing to take say, 6 years, 130M, do you sign him?
It may be a race to sign. I think the reds will sign one of those two guys, and I believe offers will be given and whomever accepts it first will be a red and the other will be gone.

All things being equal, they probably make JC a better offer because they tend to take care of their own even though ML is a bit younger.

It is a good problem to have though. It wasnt too long ago the reds had a tough time even filling out the rotation, and now they have a very solid rotation.

It is a couple of years away and I wont worry about it. Things tend to take care of themselves in some fashion. No way do I want to be like th Cav fans and worry, bitch, moan on what to do with a player like they did with Lebron and not enjoy what he brings to the table the last couple of years.

Thats great if Clint was the one impregnating his daughter........(no idea how athletic his son is).

Speaking of BH, what ya think of him getting sat down by Williams for not hustling?

Well the coach said the next person to dog it was on the bench and he jogged halfway to first on a grounder. He got what he deserved.
