Wow, you seriously have issues. Get off the HATE wagon you "supposed fan".
Buford wasn't any better, forcing shots left and right while missing a number of EASY shots, layups. Why nothing about him? He has been the worst of anyone today.
Diebler is what he is, a spot up shooter, and without Turner, he isn't going to be near as effective and either has been, or will Buford!!
Get over your mancrush on Deibler!!!

This game wasn't all that different than the Butler game. OSU offense goes for long stretches without scoring. They have no one to break down a defense, to create anything, create openings for otheres or anyone able to get a shot as the shot clock winds down. They are very one dimensional right now. Our only prayer is for Turner to get back VERY soon!

Tough to understand? ;) Yes, 8 turnovers in first half. I won't put all on him, as no one played well. It is what it is without Turner and I don't see it getting much better without him. OSU is too easy to defend right now.

He had 2 turnovers in the game, so yes, sort of difficult to understand.

Yeah, i didnt see 8. He may have been involved in 8 of them, but they werent necessarily his fault (or charged to him).

Either way. OSU looked pretty bad. Only second game Ive seen without Turner. Just too much standing around on offense. But even with Turner out, that was tough to watch. Only getting 43 points in a basketball game is pretty unacceptable, regardless of the conditions.

They have a rough stretch to open the season, but should get the win at home over IU. If they can manage a road game and start 2-3 they should be ok (if the Turner back sooner than expected news is true)

Thats interesting. They showed that stat on TV......any, looking at stats on net, it does say only two. Guess they showed something wrong. But Buford still wasn't good forcing way too much, and missing some easy baskets. Just hope he isn't hurt seriously or it could get uglier! Anyway, no matter how you look at it, it wasn't good for anyone. Not much good came out of this game.

Laley, hate to say I told you, but I did.

You are correct. CBF misread the halftime grahic.Buford had 14 and 8 with 2 turnovers.

I do have issues. Issues with Diebler. He makes me sick to watch.

He's supposed to be a scorer. If he's not shooting the ball, he's worthless out there. He doesn't rebound or defend. He doesn't set anyone up. All he does is swing the ball around the permiter.

When your best scorer goes down, someone has to step up. Lighty has. Buford has. Diebler disappeared. And I don't want to hear the crap about him needing someone to set him up to get him open looks. Create something for yourself. Get a rebound. Make an assist. DO SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE!

As for Buford, he had 2 TO's like was stated above. Not really sure what game you were watching. He has stepped up. Sure he missed some shots, but at least he's taking them and trying to make things happen.

Diebler was a volume shooter in high school which is why he scored a ton of points. Don't even try to dispute that fact.

There's always OSU womens b-ball and OSU wrestling...This team looks like they are completly lost without Turner.

Don't everybody jump off the lefge all at once. The Bucks should get Turner back in 3-4 weeks, and can finish the regular season with 19-21 wins. That will be plenty enough to get them into the Dance.

This is the third season I have endured - watching and hoping for improvement in Jon Diebler. The improvement hasn't been great. He's looked fine against the lesser teams we've played. His defense has always been suspect. While Turner certainly makes Jon better, I still would have expected better play and contributions from a player who eats up 40 minutes every game. He must be lights out in practice and all hope he can transfer that to his game. I don't know what else to think. The Bucks looked very non-funtional today.

After Turner got injured, I said on another thread that it would for me to watch the buckeyes without him. So far I haven’t watched an OSU game in its entirety since the injury. With Evan, the Bucks are a big ten contender. Without him, they might be somewhere in the middle of the pack. But hey, injuries are a part of the game. Hopefully we can sneak out a few games before his return.

43 points?

I buy the Evan Turner excuse for the loss, but that will never be an acceptable reason to lose by 22.

I wonder why Matta plays Diebler 40 minutes a game when a much more knowledgeable coach like you wouldn't??

Big Gain - I understand your frustration. Try checking the box score and see what the stats indicate about a person who plays 40 minutes per game. The answer is not much, so there must be another, deeper reason. Perhaps Diebler is the heart and soul of the team? Perhaps he is the respeceted team leader? Perhaps he does the little things that don't show up in the stats? Perhaps he is the defensive stopper? Perhaps he is tireless and doesn't run out of energy? Perhaps he is great in practice and everyone is waiting for that to show in a game? Perhaps the bench is so thin that no-one else can do what he does? Perhaps there are other reasons that we aren't smart enough to discuss. Please let me know what you think - your valuable knowledge and insight is needed here in this discussion.

I'm not sure what Jon has ever done for you to give him that much credit honestly?
