Unfortunately let MAF off easy by giving up so many power plays. We'll see how he comes out in the 2nd

Probably because it's 2-0.

Im still confused?

That post was sarcasm, as it was posted as MAF gave 2 soft goals 2 minutes into the game.

Orpik scores with less than a second to make it 2-1.

The time on your post says you posted earlier than you actually did. The goals were around 7:15p. Justin doesn't know how to run a website that properly keeps the time, so you can understand my mistake.

Edit: looks like it's about 13 minutes slow

That is true.

Seems like CBJ is more concerned with playing defense instead of pushing it offensively.

Just plain shitty. Hope it doesn't carry over to game 4 but it's hard to see how it doesn't. Hope Crosby gets a canker sore or something.

It's impressive to see how intense they played in the final 1:30 or so. Where was that the rest of the period?

Where was that outside of the first 4 minutes? Team needs to get a kick in the ass, it's the playoffs, not some throwaway in October. Fuck pittsburgh

Played not to lose instead of to win. They just sat back and let the pens press up on them that whole 3rd period after the goal.

I was about 6 rows back from the blue line last night...and that game was frustrating and heart breaking. I don't know how it came across on TV...but my ears are still ringing from being there. The crowd was amazing last night.

dlazz nailed it...I was saying it the who game. As soon as we jumped out to the 2-0 lead, we let our foot off of the gas and slipped back into "protect the lead" mode.

41-20 on SOG? Are you fucking serious CBJ?

If we had any chance of winning this serious, we had to win last night. Blah.

Might have seen the jackets season fizzle in a span of under 4 minutes last night.
Good to see the Pens have a little fight in them even if it was just for a brief period of time.
Some shitty calls last night, think both ways, but that is the nature of sports. Jacket fans were into it and that is what makes the playoffs so amazing.
One thing I was thinking late in the game, with like 4 minutes to go, is that how the end of hockey games are so much better than the end of close basketball games. With just one TO a piece they cannot make the end of games grind to a halt like they do in hoops.

Oh come on.
Take off your CBJ colored glasses...

Yeah. That may have been the worst call I have seen in a long, long time.

Game day in Columbus, I'm very happy to be in town and looking forward to being at the game.

Interesting/uninteresting factoids of the day. The CBJ is the youngest team in the league. Based on average age, the next youngest playoff team is the Kings who are the 20th oldest team in the league, a full year older per man than Columbus (as the median NHL tenure is 4 years, that's a big difference). Whatever happens tonight, and I'd love to see a win of course, this is a team that's a couple of years away from being real contenders to win it all.
