Couples will be 65 and still able to come out and shoot 70 at Augusta. It's crazy how every year he seems to lurk around the leaderboard early on.

He's always struggled with back problems but man is that one of the purest swings I've ever seen.

I just don't care to watch the PGA without Tiger in the hunt. He is what made the sport interesting to me (to watch, not play), and I just find it tougher to watch with him not there. I'll watch, b/c it's the Masters, but it just won't be the same.

Yeah, it is a shame he struggled with them so much over the years as it really robbed him of alot of time.

Makes it all the more amazing that at 54 he still has the kind of length he does. Even among the flat bellies he has better than average length still. Augusta has always been a bombers paradise, particularly for those who play a fade ( Woods,Nicklaus). It's probably why it fits Fred's eye so well.

The Masters is the ONLY event that I dont care if Tiger is in or not. It still has so much drama, history and prestige. The other tournaments need him, imo.

But, I am in a person pick-'em where you get to pick 7 players and get the top 4 finishes as your "total". The players are grouped into tiers... 5 players in tiers and 2 WC who arent listed.

I took:
-Scott
-Kuchar
-Donald
-Rose
-Poulter
-Choi
-Matsuyama

my buddy and I do a draft for each major..1 player ranked 1-10, 1 from 11-20, 1 from 21-30, 1 from 31-40 and one from 50+ as a dark horse. If your dark horse wins you get a 12 pack on top of whatever the bet is.

My team this year (he had first pick and took Scott)

Kuchar
McDowell
Reed
Westwood
Olesen

Me too. I wanted to take him in my draft but I wasn't convinced he wouldn't choke on Sunday if given the opportunity.

Good point--that's a lot of pressure for a 21 year old not named Tiger to handle.

He's played really well (obviously) and he showed the requisite nerves in winning the John Deere knowing that he needed a win to get the money he had earned and qualify for the FedEx.

Something about choosing him this week just seems....I don't know...off?

I agree. His time will come, but not this week.

I went with guys who I thought were safe to make the cut and have been playing well in majors for the last few years...it led to me picking between 4 guys, all brits. I took Poulter, Donald and Rose instead of Westwood. Solid decisions after day 1 lol

I like Bubba, but I'm well past the point of asking people why they don't like a golfer. Most great golfers, especially those who are really really f'ing good, can be huge douches.

Matt Kuchar isnt the greatest, his lack of big wins prove it, but he is the nicest guy ever.

Bubba is just a dick. I mean, so is Tiger, but Tiger wins a lot more lol. Bubba is probably the biggest dick outside of Ian Poulter and Tiger on tour.
