Big Ten network had a round table show with Matta, Self, Izzo and Larry Brown. It was very good and they talked quite a bit about the issue of young players bolting to the NBA. Good to hear Brown talk about it since he coached there. Good stuff.

I watched Part 1. Has part 2 aired? The amount of respect shown to Larry Brown was refreshing to see.

I can't imagine recruiting in this social media age. A coach would need to add a social expert to his staff to act in his behalf. Plus, these kids expect to coddled and cajoled.

Guys who really like to coach might like it better at a lower level. The money isn't the same by a long shot, but the job is more pure and coach means coach.

Fun start to Iowa State/Oklahoma. Wide open up and down game. Cyclones are on fire from deep.

All year I've had this marked as the toughest SEC game. I thought we had it up 60-50, though.

Hornsby FTW?

Also, KAT had his entire left arm on Martin lol. But, LSU doesn't deserve a call. Horrible execution down the stretch.

Typical college game. Awful refs at times, chippy calls. Towns, Cauley-Stein and Andrew Harrison were great. That was one of UK's top 5 or 6 games of the year. LSU brought it. Makes you wonder why LSU doesn't win more. They are legit. Like Vitale said all game, if they brought it like they did tonight against everyone else, it wouldn't even be an argument that they are as good as they showed.

I thought for sure they missed the over-the-back. I was still mad about the decision to run down the clock, though. I am a firm believer in taking the quick shot with 50 seconds and getting the ball back last.

Why colleges don't go 2-1 is beyond my comprehension. But no one does. A crap forced shot with 50 seconds left still only gives LSU 1 chance to tie/win, really. I am with you.

Crazy. I landed in Vegas this morning and the terminal was on CNN reporting it. Felt odd being in "his city".

Tark the Shark. One of the greats. Dude built a dynasty in the middle of the fucking desert. That in the entertainment mecca of the world Tark's teams were the most popular event in town pretty much says it all. The man is beyond legendary.

Do yourself a favor and read Runnin' Rebel: Shark Tales of "Extra Benefits", Frank Sinatra and Winning It All. It is an excellent piece of college basketball history for anyone who truly appreciates the game, told by the man himself.

One of the great.....cheaters of all time. ;) Loved his personality. Was good for the game. Think he was a decent basketball mind, nothing great. But make no mistake about it, he cheated big time.

@TeddyGreenstein: Greetings from #NCAAmockselection ... Kansas has played zero games vs RPI 201+. NCAA facilitator: "Never seen anything like it."

Is that real?

I don't know if its never been done before but the statement is correct for Kansas the worst RPI team they have played and probably will play until the NCAA Tournament is Texas Tech at 167.

Why the fuck is Doug gottlieb allowed to do Kansas games? He hates Kansas. Has always hated Kansas. He speaks publicly about that hatred. But yet here he is, screaming like a little school girl whenever Baylor scores and just sitting in silence when Kansas goes on a run.
