IPOTW
"Worthless pro days". SMH. 30 teams that attended these "worthless pro days". Oh I know, the Browns have shown a marked propensity of clairvoyance when drafting quarterbacks over the past 15 years, haven't they?

The browns went to the pro days of those other QBs they drafted. LOLFAIL

So let me get this straight. You are saying "well, we attended pro days in the past and we failed miserably in our analysis each and every time so the solution is not to attend pro days". Is that your argument? Bbbbaaahhhhwwwwaaahhhahahahaha.

Maybe you and Ray Farmer were separated at birth.

This was a much needed thread. We all know the exact opposite of what Footwedge says always happens, so Farmer will end up being a genius.

Are you trying to tell us the Browns don't get ESPN?

Are you also trying to tell us they won't have the QBs they want to see up close come into their own private workout?

Footwedge;1598409 wrote:Pretty warm there Slick. Lemme see. The Browns have had a total of ZERO quality quarterbacks since they returned to the league in 1999. ZERO. So now we have a quarterback that was the first ever to win a Heisman as a freshman. A guy who smashed PASSING RECORDS in the vaunted SEC for 2 straight years. A guy who completed over 70% of his passes tearing Alabama's defense apart in 2 straight years. We wont even talk about all his scrambling rushing yards that he amassed.

Yet, inspite of that, Ray Farmer has better things to do than watch his pro day. He's a fucking idiot with that mindset.
So what's to be gained by going there? Isn't watching him on film enough? Well. the team that has Peyton Manning thought it was a good time invested. Yes Denver people were there. New England has Brady. They were there. Breez's team? They were there. Big Ben's team? They were there. Russel Wilson's team? They were there. The Packers with Rogers, they thought it a good idea to be there.

But Ray Farmer apparently has better things to do.

And so...the house cleaning was completed a short while ago and a raw rookie GM takes over....and says "fuck that" when it comes to watching the most exciting quarterback to come out of college in probably 2 decades.

Typical Browns crap.

Been a Browns fan for 55 years and attended the 64 title game. Have seen 50 years of crud. Ray Farmer appears to be yet another bum in the Browns continuum of "commitment to mediocrity".

It is pretty clear to me that the Browns have no interest in drafting this guy. Well good luck with Bortles or Bridgewater...and have fun watching Manziel in the Pro Bowl every year smashing passing and rushing records while the team continues to place a shit product on the field.
The worst part about this is, you're at least 55 years old, and still act the way you do.

How about the Cavs making the playoffs the year after Lebron left?
How about the Breowns being mathematically still in the playoffs when in fact they were eliminated?

I could keep going, but you get the idea.

You are making statements about a man who has done nothing but improve this roster. But because he doesn't attend the pro day of ONE qb, you think he is a complete failure. I'd say you need to focus, retard.

My 2 Cents:

I know Farmer said he was going to bring Manziel in for a private workout, but what is the harm in also going to his Pro-Day? Seems dumb to simply skip it because you're going to get a private workout.

Didn't he do this same thing with all the QBs?

Serious question, why are we all so sure the Browns werent there?

I know its Twitter, but I posted this already before.
Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet Mar 27 Me: “I was interested you guys haven’t been at QB pro days.” #Browns GM Ray Farmer: “Are you sure I wasn’t? How do you know?” Big smile.

Fair enough. I've never seen that reported. Fact still stands, if he wasn't there, that seems idiotic to me.

I know. But it was also reported they were not interviewing Manziel etc. It turns out he has just been really coy about all the QBs they are looking at. Wouldne surprise me in the lease if he has been sending scouts to all this stuff and just making it look like they arent.

He seems to really not want to tip his hand at all.

Well, look, if he's not letting Foot know exactly what he's doing, so Foot can tell him what he's doing right and what he needs to really focus on, he's a fucking idiot!

I love it... no one has a clue what the Browns are/aren't planning to do. In my opinion, this is a welcome change to the previous regime. Farmer should be commended on the fact that he hasn't tipped his hand, you know being a "rookie GM" and all.

Some of you guys need to temper you hard on for Manziel. Did you go to his pro day? Were you at the combine? Have you watched every bit of film? The answer is no. You may think you know the position of QB and you may think he's the best option, but the truth is that you don't know anymore than the rest of us, so stop acting like it's a travesty if we don't select Manziel. If you're constantly going to QQ, become a Jets fan and you'll be in familiar territory. In the mean time, Farmer is steadily improving this team on both sides of the football while also bringing in leaders and winners. But yeah, he's an idiot and has no idea what he's doing...

The funniest part about this is footwedge literally created this argument himself. I am pretty sure a good amount of us already stated that we like Manziel.
