I missed Dayton and UConn, but still have my Sweet 16. 7th in a pool of like 55.

In my other bracket (and I THOUGHT about picking Dayton in either bracket, but I needed a darkhorse), I had OSU in the Elite 8 - like I said, my tourney rewards upsets and they seemed like a team that could make me bank....that bracket missed Dayton, Texas and Harvard. 15 of my Sweet 16 left.

I've had good opening days like this before, only to get one or both brackets basically destroyed on Day 2.

Too many upsets for me today. I have quite a few upsets picked for tomorrow and think tomorrow will pretty much be chalk now.

14-2 for me also. Losses were Harvard and Saint Louis. All sweet sixteen teams remain. Probably one of my better opening days in years as well.

Tomorrow will probably be 8-8 with one of the losses Duke. That's typically how it works.

If Duke loses, that would probably pay me for picking the biggest "upset"...but most of the people in my pool picked Mercer (so it would pay like $5).

I really wouldn't be surprised at that result. Earlier this season, Mercer beat a very talented, although underachieving Seton Hall team and had Texas on the ropes in the final seconds, ultimately losing by three. They hail from Florida Gulf Coast's conference and are legit.

Only upset I really picked tomorrow was Stanford over New Mexico. I'm already down a loss because I thought Iowa would win the other night and win tomorrow.
Looking forward to the Creighton game. Haven't really seen much of them.

You have to pick the play-in games? That's cruel

Yeah, that's what I remember about him, he won several dunk competitions in high school. He was an ok 3-point shooter, but it was his hops that made him notorious.

I'm 10/16 but I have all of my sweet sixteen teams. I'm sure SFA will fuck that up for me today

I'm 10/16. I was so freaking pissed last night, as many of my upsets had the games won. NC State, AZ State, St. Joes. Not sure about BYU... was it close? Those teams really fucked me, especially St. Joes. They had the game freaking WON. NC State can go 'F' themselves. Nice FT shooting.

Same here. Mad that I missed 5 but at least I had them all losing next round.

13/16. Missed on Cincy, New Mexico State, and Oklahoma.

Today I need SFA, Nebraska, and Tennessee to pull out some W's.

The more I look at my bracket the more I can't believe I took Oklahoma State to the Final Four. Wanted an upset pick in the Final Four since it seems to happen every year but should have just picked Arizona, thats the weakest region. Oh well, gotta play the games so we'll see what happens.

I went 12 and 16. Fucking ASU, OSU, NCST, and Cincy. Good thing I had none of them going to the SS.

13/16 (Arizona St., Oklahoma and Cincy). 16/16 left.

My big one today is SFA over VCU.

Couldve been 15/16 easily, but then again, St. Louis, UCONN and Dayton couldve just as easily made me 10/16. So, its all even lol.

Yeah, that one really pissed me off.

I knew Cincy was in for a battle, but I expected them to pull it out. And well, State should have won. And I hate saying a team should win, but they should have.

I give STL a lot of credit for actually pulling off the comeback, because even when teams choke, its still so hard to turn it 180 and pull out the win.

But holy shit, was that the worst display of foul shooting and handling of a press I have ever seen the last 3 minutes. Absolutely gut-wrenching if youre a state fan (and living in Raleigh now, work is interesting this morning) lol

Over the long haul, I'm sure State fans have biologically adapted to failure. Sid Lowe and Mark Gottfried are both walking catastrophes.

As for my bracket, the only lower seeds I need to win today are Providence, Tennessee and Duke (the Blue Devils might as well be the lower seed with as many Mercer picks as I've seen).

I have Jabari Parker in our pick-em and Duke in the Final Four. If they lose tonight, I will personally walk the 5 minutes to Cameron and burn it down.

Lol. Then that means I will have gotten there about 10 hours too late.
