McBuckets tough to pass up on but that was my worry, that they lose in the 2nd round. If he would've been there for me at 2nd overall pick I likely would have passed on him. However hard that may have been.Mulva;1595822 wrote:Fucking Creighton. Knew that was going to end up busting.

Not as terrible of a showing I thought I would have. Need Baylor and Iowa State to win again.

I'll have 1 player left after tonight, I don't see Gonzaga coming back. So I will be pulling hard for Stanford lol.

Jesus Niles with 8 left, he should win this going away right?

Look at the spreadsheet. Has everyone's projections and totals. But yes if chalk holds he wins. But as we've seen, nothing is for sure.SportsAndLady;1595854 wrote:Jesus Niles with 8 left, he should win this going away right?

I don't see how he can't.

The only way he doesn't win is it the Big Ten teams totally crap the bed and all lose this week. Otherwise, Payne and Stauskas alone playing 3 more games each would win it for him.

Never know. He could have a rough Thurs/Fri next week. UCONN, Virginia, UCLA, and Tennessee could all be done.wildcats20;1595857 wrote:I don't see how he can't.
Or Virginia beats MSU. He could be down to 3-4 guys.

I've updated the spreadsheet with all the needed information through the Virginia/Memphis game. All of the opponent seeds are updated as well which basically lowered everyone's projections.

I'm fairly sure that I got the entire sheet updated through the Round of 32.

Just realized that on my 2nd/3rd pick I debated heavily between Bairstow of New Mexico and Xavier Thames of SDSU. Of course Bairstow goes out after 1 game and Xavier Thames is has scored 53 points and still playing...
Anyone else have some guys they were targeting or missed out on that they wanted?

Yeah taking Kilpatrick over Aaron Gordon in the 2nd and taking Kirk over a Stanford guy in the 7th or whenever I took him lol. Other than that I liked everyone else I took and when I took them.birddog23;1595916 wrote:Just realized that on my 2nd/3rd pick I debated heavily between Bairstow of New Mexico and Xavier Thames of SDSU. Like I said when they lost... I am not picking a New Mexico guy again next year and even if they are a #1 seed I am still going to pick them to lose in the first round. Fuck them. At least you got points out of your UNM guy! Me and Azu were stuck with 3 fucking points.birddog23;1595924 wrote:Nex Mexico, fucking us all again. Think next year we finally learn?

I got on the hype train of UNM and the possibility of getting to sweet 16 and possibly elite 8. Plus I knew Bairstow was a stud.
If I could do it over I would've played it a little more safe in R2 and went with a player from a team that had a virtual final four lock. Like Kaminsky or Aaron Gordon. Fuck, I should've took Kaminsky

Same here I had them Sweet 16. I just figured there was no way they were losing to stanford and I had a feeling Kansas would lose in round 2 without Embiid. O well I'm not out of this yet. I still feel like I have a decent shot at 2nd.birddog23;1595939 wrote:I got on the hype train of UNM and the possibility of getting to sweet 16 and possibly elite 8. Plus I knew Bairstow was a stud.

Extremely slow and boring day for me so here's possible scenarios to beat Niles:
Mulva: big Michigan (Levert and Robinson III) and Arizona (Gordon) fans. Also need Iowa State to win (Hogue).
birddog: big Wisconsin fan (Jackson and Hayes), need Louisville (Smith) and/or Florida (Young) MSU (Dawson) in the NC. Could benefit big time by UofM losing in S16.
lafferty: could makes things interesting if Kentucky makes FF (Harrison twins) also needs Florida (Frazier & Prather) and MSU (Appling) in FF with Florida advancing to NC
turtles: darkhorse IMO. 4 out of 6 guys likely advancing to Elite Eight and possibly all 6 if Tennessee and UCLA pull of upsets over UofM and FLA. BUT could also see UCLA (Adams), Virginia (Harris), and UCONN (Boatright) all losing in S16. Still I think turtles could win this.
AZ: 7 players remaining but 4 likely out after S16. Rooting for some upsets and need Iowa St (Ejim), Florida (Finney-Smith), and Wisconsin (Dekker) all in FF
Terry: also need some upsets with only 5 guys left. You need Iowa St (Kane) vs MSU (Harris) Elite Eight. Also hoping Baylor (Jefferson) and Kentucky (Young) can pull off upsets and advance
If you want Niles (8 players remaining) to lose then you are 1) rooting for the winner of Michigan/Tennessee to lose in Elite Eight. 2) Hoping for Virginia to beat Sparty and then lose in Elite Eight. 3) Rooting for Florida over UCLA. 4)Rooting for BOTH Wisconsin and Arizona to falter in S16.
