AHHH. Ok, that makes sense. I was wondering why TWC would allow ESPN3 to have a feed of a game they were covering.

Once you get out of the MAC area (me in NC), the TWC Sports Channel no longer shows MAC games. So, obviously, thats why they allow ESPN3 to pick it up.

Ugh, 2 West teams in the finals... attendance should be pathetic (Toledo is the only West team that travels).

First final not involving Akron, Kent, or Ohio since 2000
First final not involving a current MAC East team since 1996 (MAC only had 10 teams then, there were no divisions)

They need to do away with divisions for basketball anyway, but I digress

Laley, it wasn't BCSN--Tony White and Michael Reghi had the call--would that be TWC???

Yep, that was a time warner feed. Must've done what I thought, sent the feed by satellite back to Toledo.

I feel like it would be just like to Toledo to get blown the fuck out tonight.

100% correct. Saw more MAC basketball than I have for the past two seasons combined.

They had nothing to show last year because Toledo was barred from the tourney (APR)

Youd be amazed how many people in Toledo follow the Rockets. Attendance doesnt show it (prior to this year), but TV ratings, Id say Toledo football, Toledo basketball, Mud Hens, Walleye and HS Football finish close to ESPN in localized ratings during the initial run (ie, when its shown live and not at 3am on tape delay).

Even last year they were a huge pull for BCSN/Buckeye Cable.

Oh yeah, Toledo is the only school in the West that draws, and they draw pretty damn well. They're easily right behind the "Big 3" draws (Akron, Kent, Ohio), and then it's a HUGE dropoff behind them. I was just saying there was no Toledo to show on TV last year come tourney time because they were forced to sit at home, so they were definitely less visible to casual fans who may not pay attention until March.

WMU has to be trying for 100 at this point. They're up 18 and still hauling ass to score.

I didn't know a whole lot about WMU coming into the season, but I really like Brown and Whittington. Thankfully they are both seniors. Not sure if they can make any noise, probably depends on Brown. If he has a game like he did against Akron, probably none..but if he has one like he did against Toledo, I wouldnt be surprised to see them win a game or two. I think Whittington has NBA potential for sure. Rooting for the MAC in the tourney as always, even though Im still bitter about the blown loss to them. Not like Akron would have done anything without a PG anyways.

Also, just think how good WMU would be if they haven't lost some key transfers recently..WOW. Hawkins has done a great job recruiting.
