No one is denying anyone their freedoms. With rights come responsibilities. Unfortunately, many want the rights without assuming the responsibilities. There is nothing preventing morons and freeloaders from becoming smarter and productive.

You are the main reason people associate the term conservative with ignorant and hypocrite while Libertarian Conservatives like myself have to defend ourselves from people who lump us together with crazy tea baggers.

Believe me if intelligence and productivity were a requirement, the tea party would be cut in half.

Yeah, the Tea Party has it's crazies just like the right and left, but I wouldn't characterize it as the party of crazy or anything more radical than liberty and fiscal responsibility....what I DO know is both the Dems and Repubs, with a lot of help from their buddies in the media, have attacked it pretty mercilessly and unfairly because they view it as a threat to their own power.

What is funny? You caught me, Im really Isadore and Boatshoes rolled into one giant liberal.

The tea party started off with great intentions. I just feel it has spent more time bitching about Obama than doing anything else to further the agenda. That is my gripe. They spend time whining about gays, birth control, Obamas birth certificate instead of offering idea

While I say they are crazy, it pales in comparison to being as crazy as a progressive liberal.

I don't deny it's been somewhat hijacked/infiltrated by some whackos, but I don't feel the whackos are really running the movement - but that is a narrative pushed at every opportunity by liberals, Rhinos, and the media.

Ted Cruz is a poser. To me, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio are the real leaders of the Tea Party, and I don't remotely consider either to be a whacko nutjob. Or Sarah Palin, for that matter - I don't think she's particularly bright but I do think she is genuine.

You're right on Rand Paul but you're wrong on Ted Cruz. You may think he's a poser (which he is...He is the Republican Party's version of Obama) but the Tea Party loves him. Also, Marco Rubio has largely been excommunicated for his stance on immigration.

They cost the GOP control of the Senate and the only Tea Partier candidates they managed to get in there, Mike Lee and Ted Cruz are making the GOP look like a giant pile of derp to most Americans who are not Orthodox Conservatives.

There are a lot of good names on that list, certainly not crazy. Not as radical as the jabbers THAT DO RUN the Democratic Party - Reid, Pelosi, Feinstein, Wasserman-Schultz, Valerie Jarrett....at least Barney Frank retired.
