Hawks will protest, but nothing will come of it. Because nothing can be done.

Cleveland owns the Hawks.

Reversal of last season.

Cleveland is playing very well against the top teams.

Atlanta was up for this game like it was game 7 of the Finals. This was everything for them, and they played the best game they possibly can. Bibby had his best game in ten years. Johnson had the game of his life. Mo sucked and Delonte and Z contributed nothing, and the Cavs win by 5.

Also, Hickson has to go. He is awful. Every time I see him on the floor I hope they can keep it close enough to make a run when he sits down.

Yep. He is terrible on the defensive end and doesn't add much on the offensive end outside of a dump off layup or dunk. He cannot rebound well unless it falls right to him.

There is a reason he is starting and that reason is to trade him.

Mike Woodson says the Hawks will protest the final two minutes of this game.

lol, true..

Wasn't Atlanta involved in the last game to replay under protest? I think it was the last minute or so that was replayed during a double header, where the first game the road team was actually the home team lol..

I don't know if any of you guys remember that, but it was crazy...

They have a legit beef, but nothing can come from it. There is no point to protest. But the time keeper at the Q needs to be fired.

I was watching it on and off from a bar...didn't see what happened. What happened to cause the protest?

Mo missed that lay up that hit nothing but back board, the Hawks got the ball and the clock never reset.

It seemed like Atlanta saw that and rushed, however, they have to know 24 seconds didn't go that quickly and should have just brought it to the refs attention.

Instead, they gave the ball to Josh SMith who threw up some junk.

Legit beef, but nothing should come of it. It happens.

Cavs missed a shot, didn't hit rim, Hawks got the board, shot clock never reset, basically giving the Hawks a 14 sec clock instead of 24 and then they turned it over after realizing the clock was down.

i hate that it was decided like that but all they had to do was stop and point at it and the refs would have gotten it straightened out...forcing up a shot and turning it over was probably the worst option they could have chosen

Exactly^ You see it just about every other time that happens.. The team with the ball will stop and point it out, the refs go to the monitor and correct it.

ATL has nobody but themselves to blame.

If you're gonna blame the Hawks, then you have to blame the refs also. It is their job to referee the game and they failed to do that in this instance.

That being said, the Cavs still were going to win this game.

This.

I mean, they are right, the clock was never reset, but someone on the Hawks should have been going nuts flaggin down a ref letting them know, instead of continuing to play and throw up a junk shot.

It is unfortunate, but it didn't decide anything. It didn't take any points off the board. They shot 30% in the 4th and scored 37 points in the second half. Chances are they wouldn't have done any better with the extra 9 seconds. It certainly didn't cost them the game.

That clock screw-up isn't going to detract from the fact that this was a game for the haters.

AV for three? GTFO

Too many ways for this team to beat you right now.
