Because it would've happened again. Why do you believe that? What has happened to you that makes you go "Yes, this is totally possible?"
All this "happened" thousands of years ago and no one has any documentation going back that far, which means the stories are so distorted that to believe any of it as fact is ludicrous. Play a game of telephone with 20 people and see what happens. Now do the same thing over centuries.
Who says I was brought up Christian?
Why do you assume that it would've happened again? What is "it"?
One example of many, I drove in a car with a friend who never wore his seatbelt. When I say never I mean literally NEVER, and would brag about it. We went on a drive somewhere, at a Red Light he heard a voice tell him to put his seatbelt on, so he did. I looked at him funny and he said he has a bad feeling. 5 minutes later a person smashes into the back of his car. He would have been sent through the Window had he not buckled, as his backend was royally messed up. Some people look at it as a coincidence, but he swears to this day he heard a voice telling him to buckle up. I was the only person in the car, and I didn't tell him to buckle up.
