Curly J, don't feel bad I'd never heard of a "Push Present" until now either...

As for a wedding gift my wife and I didn't get each other one and never even talked about them.

Someone shouldn't expect to get a gift but a couple/person in a relationship wants to give one then they should just do it.

I buy myself gifts all the time, it's the best practice.

First I've heard of either. I always thought the honeymoon was my gift to her for marrying me and the kids were gifts to her for having sex with me. Lol

We didn't do wedding presents. My wife got a new oven as a push present. No joke. Our oven was shot and she said she wanted to do a lot of baking while on maternity leave

I don't believe in the act of "giving presents". I treat everyone with respect and expect nothing less from everyone else I encounter on a daily basis. This should be our present to everyone.

I wasn't going to do a wedding present but the week before the wedding she said she needed new sunglasses for the honeymoon. I knew with everything she had going on that week she wouldn't have time to buy them. So on our wedding day she got a note and some nice sunglasses. She gave me a note and Bengal tickets.

I think my wife will get her push present...maybe a charm bracelet or something like that. She said I could get a new gen console (PS4 or xbox One), but I doubt I'll get one.

She got me a belt buckle for a wedding gift -- which I got all my groomsmen for their gifts, so it worked out well. I got her something for wedding night :).

I think the idea of a push present is stupid, but if you were to do something I think a day spa/massage thingy for the wife would be something good she could use a few weeks after pushing out tha 18+ year financial committment she plops on out.

I didn't want to do the typical groomsman gifts. So, I mixed it up a bit. The belt buckles were "personalized" to each individual's taste. I thought it was a good gift, had some fun with it.

The gifts given to groomsmen and bridesmaids at my brother's wedding was the party bus that took everyone from the church to the bars, to the reception, to the bar afterward AND home after the bar.

Best gift i ever got being in a wedding!



As for a wedding gift.....nah, didnt get my wife one, nor did I receive one. Think they are kinda dumb and mostly a way for each to get something the hopefully want and since it is considered a gift to and from one another it takes away the 'guilt' of buying it yourself.
