Think the top 2 are very close, but a little ahead of 3.lennyrox55;1576432 wrote:The top three at 170 could go in any order. Getting that number 1 seed is kinda big.

Number 3 seed may be better ... you get to pick which way you want to go.

I really think Gibson from Bloom Carroll will win 170. He is strong and has worked his tail off. It will be interesting to see if there are any surprises in terms of weight class cuts....

I think 170 is the toughest weight class! Eisnnicher and Gibson are tremendous, Navin can very well win it also, Carson is a tough out and Ndongo is a physical specimen!!wrestlingjunkie;1576853 wrote:I really think Gibson from Bloom Carroll will win 170. 170 will be interesting. Navin has been wrestling well for about 2-3 weeks. (Turned the corner after Marion). He brings some funky to the mat. Eisnicher is definitely a talented kid as is Gibson. Gonna be fun! All 3 are SQ. i have run into Gibson a bunch at open mats and off season events. Gonna be fun!

I think those 3 will qualify again. Dennis from Claymont and Jones from Steubenville are the only two that can hang with them.

This could be a very interesting sectional due to the top 3-4 teams appear to be pretty even. It sounds like The Nut has everyone healthy and hitting their stride. As they say, on any given day you can be beat. I hope a decent set of ref's gets assigned to this sectional and matches are settled between the wrestlers. Good luck to everyone.

bigdogdad, I agree (as long as no-one gets the skin funk or gets hurt). How's big Matt doing?

What is the date? I may have to go sit and watch. As a fan of wrestling it would be a good tourny to watch!

He is doing really good. Thanks for asking. He was going to try and make it back for alumni day on Saturday, but with winter practice/conditioning on Friday and Saturday plus the snow predicted it would tough. Hard to believe how long ago it was our kids (and us) were sitting in gyms all day. Those were some good times. Especially the week-end tourney's. Hope your family is doing well. Hopefully I'll see you Saturday for the last home meet.

Agreed - Steffney and Tate certainly are the favorites - but don't rule Fout out. The kid worked hard and wrestled all summer - he may surprise some people!

Fout is a tough customer -I am a fan but that is a tough draw being on the same side of the bracket as Steffeny. No doubt those 3 get to Claymont at 152. I think it will come down to bonus points as to what team ends up as sectional champs. I think Valley gets 4 champions, Granville gets 4 champions, Bloom gets 2-3, champions and Big Nut has some tough kids. There should be a few good finals matches here. Who knows for sure until they lace em up. I guess that's why wrestle!

152 looks to be the deepest overall, the 160, 170 but all have some great potential for battles in finals. Could be some really tough semi in a few classes. Being that there just isnt that many wrestlers overall matches will be easier to follow from a spectator point. Good luck to all these young men. Especially my BC guys!!
