Same. Anytime I think I want/need something that is expensive, I hold off for a week and see if I still want it. It's saved me from buying a car a time or two, saying me literally thousands every year.dlazz;1567278 wrote:I have sat here for a few minutes trying to think of something. aside from the occasional impulse cd/dvd purchase back in high school, I don't really have any high-ticket items I regret.
I normally just flip items if they turn out to be useless. I also religiously review high-ticket items before I pull the trigger on them.
(I don't have a car, just a bike and public transit.)

As much as we use our golf cart, I wouldn't mine getting rid of it.

Pretty much how I do things. I honestly can't think of anything I've bought recently that I have any regrets over. Guess if I'd go back about 11-12 years, the whole wedding ring to get married would definitely fit, since that didn't turn out well, but that's about it.dlazz;1567278 wrote:I have sat here for a few minutes trying to think of something. aside from the occasional impulse cd/dvd purchase back in high school, I don't really have any high-ticket items I regret.

As dlazz said, if I'm spending a large amount of money. I'm reviewing and testing the shit out of it.
If I could go back, I wouldn't get a plasma TV even though my TV has been great.

Agreed. I don't really buy anything big. I've only bought one TV in my life, and I needed the few computers I bought. None of them were super expensive, so I don't regret it.Raw Dawgin' it;1567417 wrote:Big items...not sure. I do get a pit in my stomach basically anytime I buy something, even if it's cheap and I need it. I just hate spending money in general.

I can agree with both of those. I tend to be frugal to a fault with the occasional binge purchase. With those binge purchases being far more researched than one would think of a binge purchase because I hate spending money on anything other than necessities and recreational substances.Fab4Runner;1567446 wrote:I do get a pit in my stomach basically anytime I buy something, even if it's cheap and I need it. Which goes to the bar tabs. One of my friends is in a local band and whenever I go to see them, I wind up spending about as much money in one night of drinking as I would in 2 weeks or so of just going to hang out with friends 2-3 nights a week.

I dumped a few grand into a Honda fucking Civic during highschool.
On a positive note, it was very tasteful compared to the abominations you would see kids "modding" in those days.

Our current house. It's fine, I'm just sick of living in the city and we are kinda stuck here for a while.

I already regret city life. Do you mean regret leaving the city?dlazz;1567792 wrote:I think you'll regret some city life when/if you move.
There are definitely some nice things about it, and there will be some things I will miss, but I can always visit a city for a few hours.

I don't buy anything unless its a instrument designed to make myself more money or if it allows me to easily get into the pants of women. I've found out it only takes about $30(about 3 drinks in DC) to accomplish this. Honestly, I could probably just show them my bank account and it would accomplish the same thing.
