Love the overrated crap. Here on base, told a Clemson fan congrats and he responded by saying psst ya'lls overrated. I just laughed and walked away. I wanted to say, you do realize you basically just said you barely beat an "overrated" team and needed two turnovers inside the 40 to do it... ughh

Clemson has been overrated for many years now, hence the term Clemsoning. However, they outplayed the Buckeyes, won the Orange bowl.
A team can be overrated, and still beat teams who may or may not have more talent then them.

So I know this type of stuff happens at most schools, but anyone else find this somewhat disturbing?
A third of their football team is in the same field of study. It happened at Dook, with a lot of their basketball team being sociology majors, as well.@darrenrovell: FSU’s football team has 34 players with the same major: Interdisciplinary Social Science.

It happens everywhere.
Not all college athletes struggle academically. A lot of non-revenue generating sports typically have to conform to the more onerous standards, but of course there are still exceptions. But when it comes to Basketball and Football no one should ever be surprised that some of the athletes just don't measure up to the schools general standard (of course there still are many who do qualify and can do the proper work required of college students). It's really the worst part of college athletics when you have adults who just want to make it so the kids can play instead of actually being concerned about their future academically. And this doesn't start at the college level. It starts much earlier in grade school with teachers just passing kids on instead of actually trying to teach them.
