I get a discount on insurance if I get the flu shot. I have had one for the past ten years. I did get a strain that was not predicted to hit this area a few years back. Went to the nurse at work and she said I had the flu. I was like wtf cause shes the one that gave me the flu shot. She explained depending on what shot normally they cover three to four strains and they are what they think will be the most common that year. Just my luck to be the only person to get a flu shot and then get sick with the fucking flu.

The was a study that just came out that showed that people who get the flu vaccination multiple years in row have a greater protection against ALL flu viruses and if they get the flu have much milder case.I have had one for the past ten years.
I'll try to get a link.

Thousands of people still get the flu despite being vaccinated. As everyone said, it's a crapshoot trying to predict the most popular strains. Try washing your damn hands.mcburg93;1563144 wrote:Lol

I was feeling a cold......you can't do shit for the flu.dlazz;1563027 wrote:That will do absolutely nothing for you.
If you have the flu, you have the flu.
Also, flu shots are a waste of time.
Hope this helps.
You didn't help at all.

As for the flu shots......why would our insurance pay for the entire district to get one?dlazz;1563027 wrote:That will do absolutely nothing for you.

Because they're cheap as fuck anyway.Ironman92;1563209 wrote:As for the flu shots......why would our insurance pay for the entire district to get one?
If you're an adult (18-49) getting a flu shot is more or less a waste of time.
Children/the elderly have weaker immune systems so it might be better for them to get the flu shot, but even then, it's less effective.

Does Obamacare cover flu shots? If so, I might actually get one this year.

I'm a HUGE believer in "sweating it out." Whether it's taking a bath or sitting in a sauna, both seem to work near miracles for me every time.

That's fine.....I haven't had the flu in about 8 years and have had the shot every year. Before the shot I got the flu around 2 out of every 3 years.dlazz;1563242 wrote:Because they're cheap as fuck anyway.

Whatever the reason.....actually works or not, I'm sticking with what's hot.
Thanks Doc

To each his own. I haven't had the flu in at least 10 years.Ironman92;1563264 wrote:That's fine.....I haven't had the flu in about 8 years and have had the shot every year. Before the shot I got the flu around 2 out of every 3 years.

I get the occasional one day bug, but never put out of commission.

Sounds like you're a man without a vagina. Keep up the good work! I'm 37 and never had a flu shot. I'd say I am quite vaginaless, also.dlazz;1563285 wrote:I get the occasional one day bug, but never put out of commission.
