Why not ask this of the president? If fact, why not demand it.

Ah yes, this is the president who thinks Putin is a partner, not an adversary.

When you have this much intellectual incapacity at the highest level of government, what can one expect.

Putin doesn't care who the presiden too the US is. He's done his same game under a republican and a democrat. he doesn't care because short of invading, the US has little beyond economic consequences it can impose.

You seem to forget how much of this portrait the Obama administration painted itself. Bush's cowboy mentality and cold war thinking had to be reversed or "reset". Boxing in the Russians with NATO and putting up missile defense systems in Eastern Europe would only piss them off and they may act aggressively. As proved in Georgia. So once Obama took power he scrapped Bush's missile defense plan in Poland and allowed Hillary to bring that embarrassing romper room prop of a "reset" button for a photo op with the Russians. I mean WTF? I can only imagine how hard the Russians laughed after that and so did the rest of the world.

The only thing worse is if the US Secretary of State would have gotten down on all fours and licked the Russian foreign ministers shoes.

This proposition, like most of Rush's "Undeniable Truths of Life" sounds pretty good but it is false. The world is governed by self-interest, not the aggressive use of force. In economics, politics and international relations, contracts can properly encapsulate self-interest and preclude the aggressive use of force. Indeed, liberal democracies have dramatically reduced the initiation of force in world affairs and employed strong and competent legal systems in their own countries that have greatly reduced the aggressive use of force domestically as well.

And when one self interest conflicts with another's self interest some form force will be used to push one on the other. Its not always bloodshed. Even the US which looks like a benevolent empire by history's standards uses a lot of force to promote its self interest.

I don't disagree with what you say here. Point is, it seems to me that the world has made slow progress over the years in harnessing the passions of self interest to reduce the aggressive use of force.

Democracy only reigns supreme because it's greatest enforcer is the big dog in the world. Just like in ancient Greece the main reason democracy ran supreme in the Delian League was because Athens pretty much kicked and sanctioned the fuck out of any non republic

I will just say that a govt employee that takes the 5th should void their pension & benefits.

And I have to agree when Obama says "not a smidgeon of corruption" here, then there's no logical reason why Lerner should have to plea the 5th. Just appoint an independent special prosecutor and be done with it already.

Looking forward to the treasonous bitch ending up in jail, along with ALL her superiors. The IRS commissioner did not go the White House over 150 times for no reason. The abuse of power is tyrannical.

Well, it DOES make sense with the implementation of Obamakare and the IRS role in that. However, that makes it even more difficult to accept Obama's claim that he was "unaware" of the various hiccups. Obama's audacity of lies is nothing short of spectacular.

But it certainly wouldn't have taken dozens of visits to nail down how they would target conservative groups. In the private sector that's like 3 meetings...in Washington maybe 15-20.

I'd also add that an administration that openly and aggressively attacks/singles out Fox News and other conservative voices isn't exactly credible when they feign outrage over the IRS scandal.

Your point is as I understand it you seem to think the world has evolved into being governed by some sort of quasi set of moral/ethical standards. In the world peace is the result of force. Loving your neighbor as yourself is not natural. Since WWII what has kept the major powers on the worlds stage from directly using military force on each other to promote there own self interest? That's right the aggressive use of force via mutually assured destruction. Why do you think the Russians go ape shit over US missile defense? Because it neutralizes the amount of force they levy against us.
