The water in the bottom of the drain will prevent the sewer smell coming up out of the sink

You could just short the downward drain out of the sink and shorten the drain loop

Maybe raise the whole cabinet by setting it on treated 2x4 base plate? It could be a way to raise the whole structure up.

Bought the pump. Had to run electric to the cabinet. But it works great.
