Eliminate those types of fans and you're left with the equivalent of sayyyyy University of Maryland football. You should be thanking these idiots.Tiernan;1553572 wrote:Neither one of those idiots has ever been inside the Shoe - that's the part that pisses me off about most "OSU Fans" they have absolutely no affiliation with the University. Almost as bad as Notre Dame.

Bullshit Mooney...tOSU has the largest Alumni base on the planet. If we could eliminate the hilljacks who just wanna wear their Wal Mart OSU sweatshirt to one game so they can get a picture for cousin Clyde, actual graduates who paid money to create this juggernaut program could see more games. Also eliminate the Upper Arlington corporate fucks who snatch up all the tickets between the 40s and most likely attended some D3 liberal arts "high school / college" or worse yet an ACC or SEC school because their yuppie parents didn't want them to go to a big school like Ohio State where they might actually have to learn some independence. And eliminate the thousands of Central Ohio "tough guys" who love to wear their OSU ball cap while they service graduates cars or fix our air conditioning but manage to scrounge up season tickets somehow...eliminate all these pretenders and real Alumni will still fill the 105,000 seats every week.

What you say is most likely correct Tiernan (bet you never heard that on here before). I would say thought that a vast majority of OSU fans are people who have never attended the university.

That doesn't make it OK. Give the games back to the grads. Screw John Q.

What about the fans of Ohio State that went to more prestigious universities? Are they not allowed to be fans because they went to a school that challenged them more academically?thavoice;1554513 wrote:What you say is most likely correct Tiernan (bet you never heard that on here before). I think the whole, "if you aren't affiliated with the school you can't be a fan", is ridiculous. I guess 99% of people can't be fans of professional sports teams because they are in no way affiliated with the team. A stupid argument IMO.
