Heard this morning that if it's a three way tie with Pitt-Jets-Miami, it's Pittsburgh. In a three way tie you settle the divisional match ups first so it's Jets>Miami. Then you go with the remaining team and it's Pitt>Jets.
Confusing as hell and they sounded confused on the radio but that's how they said it goes.

I thought it was a dirty hit. You drop your head and drive the helmet into a unsuspecting, defenseless player's neck basically at full speed -- what do you think is going to happen?? Guys would be lucky to get up and walk off the field unharmed. IMO, there's a difference between playing tough vs reckless/dirty.

I could see how that would confuse a Steelers fan when you run out of fingers on a hand. It is a good thing that you don't have to count 8 titles.GoPens;1554278 wrote:It's hard work counting all those Lombardi's.

In this instance they would go with rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock to decide the last spot.

Huber's career possibly in jeopardy. Revealed today he also has a broken vertabrae in his neck. Then the NFL comes out and says it was dirty and it should have been a flag.
This nullified a TD that made it 21-0. The Bengals actually outplayed Pittsburgh the rest of the game, at least the last 40 minutes of it. Definitely a missed call that may have influenced the game outcome.

Most likely not, because you can't just remove that TD and say the game would've been the same. However, it is funny when the NFL comes out and admits a mistake on a play that was a HUGE swing and was not only a play losing a significant player w/no penalty, but one that led to a return TD.
14-0 and getting the ball to start the 2nd half is a lot different than 21-0 after basically a quarter...

How do you know it's 14-0? Would that personal foul block give the Bengals the ball back?
Different scores and leads lead to different play calls. Once Pittsburgh got to 21 I thought Haley let off the guard and he pissed me off the rest of the way. Sure the Bengals have to be given credit but Pittsburgh never went for the kill and the damn defense the whole last quarter played far off knowing the clock was in their favor....hate that.

It's pointless to argue. I definitely can't say Cincy wins. You don't play the same up 21-0 than if it's close. All I was saying is...it's funny that the NFL basically admits a mistake on such a crucial play with a crucial result.
Personally, and it says earlier in this thread, it wasn't an illegal hit for where it happened on the field. The illegal part was leading with the crown and hitting him right in the jaw. QB or WR aside, as the NFL said, that's the type of hit they want to avoid. Thus, why there will be a hefty fine, yet no penalty.

The NFL admitting wrong calls, issuing apologies, assigning fines on plays not called tend to just infuriate the fans of the victims even more.
Who are the Bengals looking at for punting? What I saw today was a likely full recovery and next year looked pretty doable.

Bengals are in a whole lot better shape than the steelers though. Looking at the future. And that from a browns fan.Heretic;1554727 wrote:Gave me a laugh. Poor kid. He's a Bengals fan. That's only the first of countless letters he'll be writing while upset about something.

Until they can win the important ones, ie. last Sunday night, they're still the Bungles to me.

Yep. The Bengals are doing a lot of things right and have been the best team in the division, but until they actually show they're capable of being a contender instead of a paper tiger pretender, it's hard to actually respect them for being anything more than the best of a blah lot (assuming they hold off Baltimore, that is).Automatik;1554784 wrote:Until they can win the important ones, ie. last Sunday night, they're still the Bungles to me.
