Can't say I know a ton but they really came on late last year and had everyone back. Hell, almost made an NCAA run last year in C-USA. Like you said, they really got fucked by the Young's leaving. They would be a top 20 team with Joseph Young back. Even worse, to allow him immediate eligibility when other guys in much more dire situations have to sit out. kind of pisses me off (the Oregon Ducks disagree with me). Actually, if people looked into what happen, it's a freaking travesty he was allowed to play right away. He didn't graduate, there was no "hardship" other than his dad not having his AD position (dir. of B.O.) renewed.

They should also be really good next year, but I'm not sure about after that. Don't really see much in-terms of recruiting. They lost last year's Freshman of the year Danuel House to a knee injury 2 weeks ago (their 2nd leading scorer) and he may not be back. That's why they have had a recent slide after starting well.

Compared to SMU, UH is in trouble. Then again, the entire state of Texas basketball it terrible. I mean, there isn't a good program in the country from that state right now. UT, A&M, TCU, TT, SMU, UH, UTEP, UNT, Rice and all of the small schools in the Southland and SWAC. NONE made the NCAA Tournament last year.

Thanks for the feedback. Agreed that it's really unfortunate that Houston lost Young and how that whole situation played out. I remember the hoopla surrounding that 2011 class for the Cougars. The program had been dormant for more than two decades and all-of-a-sudden it picks up an elite recruiting class and the future looks bright. For some programs, though, like DePaul and Seton Hall and Loyola Marymount, sometimes history is just history. Not every once-great program is destined to be that again.

Of those you mentioned though, the Cougars have by far the best chance to reclaim that. They are in a solid conference, but one where they can still shine. They also don't have the in-state or even in-region competition in basketball like the others do. DePaul is similar, but they have always been second or third tier in the Big East, and everyone else comes in to take in-state talent.

Then again, we can probably both agree that it's baffling why DePaul has been so historically bad since the 80's.

Agreed. DePaul has a great tradition on which to build. It's THE basketball school in Chicago, which has been a hoops hotbed for forever. It doesn't seem like that tall an order for DePaul to achieve success at least on a similar level to St. John's, which as New York's proverbial basketball school has reached the Elite Eight and Sweet 16 on multiple occasions in the last 15 years and is today nationally relevant and competitive under Lavin.

As you say, though, other more prominent programs have basically marked their territory in Chicago -- guys like K at Duke, Calipari at Memphis and UK, Self at Kansas and whoever is at Illinois, as well as the occasional grab by Michigan State, North Carolina, Indiana, Arizona or whomever. DePaul is left to scrap for seconds and thirds. And with Oliver Purnell in charge, that won't change anytime soon. After taking a quick look, the last big-time recruit DePaul snagged from Chicago was Quentin Richardson in 1998.

Assuming Brandon Young's numbers from today don't change, this should be accurate:

Tim Frazier 2 35 2 19 3 0 10 62
Brandon Young 2 26 3 11 2 0 8 42.25
Kyle Anderson 1 13 7 3 0 1 2 26.25

Shawn Long 1 22 12 1 1 3 5 41.5
Khem Birch 1 7 7 0 0 5 0 25.75
James McAdoo 1 20 5 4 2 1 1 37.25
Jordan Loveridge 2 48 13 9 1 4 4 83.75
Adreian Payne 1 20 10 2 1 0 0 37.5

Through 14 games. That's it for me this week.

Just as Christian Wood starts to come on for UNLV -- 22 fantasy points in his game this week -- Alex Kirk and Javon McCrea begin turning in 20-point performances regularly. Anthony Drmic burned me as well with a combined 32 points in two games. So my top 3 guys are sucking now. Great.

Here is what I have for everyone.

Azu I'm 10 points less than you but it doesn't matter since you're in the same position either way.
For Laley I'm sure I probably missed someone's game or something.
If anyone elses is different just let me know.

No, on my phone. But based on numbers I think you are forgetting Wrights game from St. Bonny. Harris didn't play, so I got his game Saturday.

According to ESPN he didn't play on Saturday? You added Matthew Wright not Dion Wright.

Fucking kidding me? Lol. I didn't even know...I just knew I added wright. I was wondering why he didn't start...

Only I could add someone, and then they don't play.

Lol I think Azu did that too but then he realized the dude he added wasn't playing either so he added someone else.

Just think at least you didn't get last. Such a fucking terrible week for me. I do have 22 games next week so hopefully that will more than others and I can finish near the top.

ILT,

Here is mine. I have 288.75 but could be wrong somewhere. We're off 2.5 so it's probably 2 rebounds somewhere I'm guessing.

Yeah I have you at 288.75 now. I only had 2 boards instead of 4 for Armwood.

Also your points for Scott's first game are off. It totals 24.50 not 25.75 don't know what's going on since you have his stats correct.

I added Trae Golden for Fuquan Edwin on Sunday since Edwin is out 3-4 weeks. However, Golden didn't have a game so I added Woodard from Tulsa. I'll go through mine late just to make sure turtles. All of Saturday's games I didn't check any after the initial box post by ESPN.

Lol sounds good. If you get the same score again I'll check mine... maybe.
