His size has never been a problem for him in college, don't see it being in the future. You've never seen him get trucked by a big back or have any noticeable problems getting off blocks. But I still think he could easily put on 20 pounds. The season doesn't start until September. He could put on 20 pounds by the end of January if he really wanted to, anyone could. Just because he hasn't at OSU doesn't mean he can't.
It's easy to add 20 pounds if you're just sitting on the couch watching TV and eating potato chips, it's a whole different story when you're training to be an elite athlete. It's definitely not easy to add weight while retaining your speed and health.

Actually, it's quite easy. There are people who make a living putting people on diets that help them do things just like that. Many of them even work with professional athletes. One of my best friends from high school went on to play football for an FCS team and added 20 pounds of muscle in the summer before he left for school based strictly on the diet and work out plan that was given to him by his future college strength coach. The kid went from 180 to 200 in about 70 days. He was eating around 8,500 calories a day and in the end shaved a whole tenth off his 40 time. Again, just because he DIDN'T put on weight at OSU absolutely does not mean he can't or it will be hard. I'd assume he never tried and they wanted him at the weight he was at...100+ tackles later we know why.

Ok, so if he could keep his speed and play with 20 more pounds of muscle, why would OSU keep him at 220lb's? He would still be at that 100+ tackles and added strength could only help.

I heard that too and thought the same exact thing. Pollack lost a lot of "points" with me on that one.
Joey Bosa? Noah Spence? Michael Bennett? Adolphus Washington? ... any of those ring a bell?

All you have to do to gain weight is start drinking whole milk with protein powder twice a day, and really work on maxing out at the gym instead of that high rep bs. A buddy of mine that played D1 ball did that and he got huge, put on 30 pounds I believe and got much faster. Also Shazier is 21, your body is still filling out at this age

Tajh Boyd doesn't really throw down-field; he throws screen passes. I'm not too worried.

why is that Anybody who sticks buckeyes, bucks, bux etc etc in their sign-on name is usually a moron? No its not an insult QueenBee, its an observation that Fickell is really an umproven commodity at both DC and HC. He's not had a whole lot of success at either position and teams in those 30 thru 60 rated programs probably will go for more experience and proven success.

You're point? We can't cover screens well or anything underneath for that matter. 5 yard crossing route, 50 yard run after the catch.

There are a few mocks out there that have him labelled a 1st rounder.

lol, yeah. If anything, the fact they throw screens makes them more worrisome with the way our underneath guys "cover" people.

Over/under on how many times a screen is thrown to a guy who doesn't have a defender who is in position to make a play within 5 yards of him?

Rovell tweeted resale values of the BCS games. Orange Bowl was the lowest. He said he has to do with face value of the tickets and the Orange Bowl people not wanting to drop prices.

As others have said, Michigan killed OSU with the screen. OSU can't defend the pass....period.

Clemson lost to the two top ten teams they played. That will continue. Meyer will have the Buckeyes pumped.

I would, but the only two games I went to this season was the Michigan game and the Big Ten Championship game, so I'd say I am a jinx.
