Ouija Origin of Evil - 4/10. Meh. Had some decent scares, but overall it was pretty boring.

Major League - 10/10. Perfection.

Anyone else see The Accountant yet? I saw it the end of last week. It thought it was good 7.5/10. It had a couple of good twists in it.

I found out Friday my wife had never seen Major League in a discussion about what's on Netflix right now and since we are going Wednesday night it made Friday nights movie choice easy. I forgot how many scenes my friends and I reenacted growing up or how many things we would quote or do playing ball all the way through high school and even later. The scenes with the bars going crazy and the crowd erupting when they won gave me chills. It is weird how different the movie affected me compared to when I watched it years ago.

Loved it...in her defense she was born in '89 but it surprised me because she grew up meeting the players and going to games, just never saw Major League.

Yea, I did. I liked it for the most part...like a rated R Jason Borne with a few spots of dry humor.

I watched "finding dory", "star trek" and "Mike and Dave need wedding dates on a flight yesterday. I thought they were all pretty good. I had super low expectations for Mike and Dave need wedding dates but it wasn't bad. I only watched because Anne Kendrick was in it and I thought she was just ok.

Had to laugh that the Madea holloween flick this weekend outdrew Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher flick. One day movie execs will realize he isnt a draw. I honestly though the previews looked good...until you saw he was the lead and then it was.....eh.

STill looking forward to Hawksaw Ridge this November and then......Rogue one....oh yeah!
I think Snowden looks good. I'm pretty pumped to see Hacksaw Ridge as well.

I'm not a big Star Wars fan, but the last one was pretty good, so I'm sure I'll watch this one as well.

I think this looks like it would be great. Glad to hear it wasn't a letdown.

Watched The Accountant. 8/10

I wish they had structured part of the story line in a different order, but that's if I'm really nitpicking. Well-done movie, and Affleck was solid.

Rookie of the Year

4/10 corny and cheesy but most bothered by this summer of 93 flick having Barry Bonds being struck out in a Pirates uniform. Bonds never played for the Pirates after 1992.

I loved this moive as well. But I was 7 when it came out. Still I never made that Bonds connection. That is a little annoying.

I went and saw Dr. Strange last weekend. It was good a solid 8/10.

Suicide Squad

6.5/10

It was fine. I might watch it again. The timeline annoyed me, though.

Arrival - 7/10. Would have been higher if I was more into sci-fi. It was really good.

Hawksaw Ridge.
9/10. Only thing that keeps it from higher is how goofy the main actor is...>BUT, that was just how that guy was from everything I have read on the guy so at least they didnt try to make him what he wasnt.

Very surprised that Vince Vaughn could pull it off. When I first saw he was in it I thought that part would be shitty as he is typecast as just being funny. As the DS he was pretty funny, but then again, drill sgts say some pretty funny shit so it does work.
