So Top Gear reviewed the 1/2 million dollar Porsche that Paul Walker died in. Even the pro's had trouble cornering in it and just keeping it on the road. Check out 4:40 and 5:50 of the review. It was also their fastest car on the track of the year. Even the Stig spun out in it.

I find the national tears to be pretty hilarious on this, not the death. I didn't even know Paul Walker was the guy in the Fast and Furious series and had to Google his name.
In other words, who cares? He made movies and died; whoop-de-doo.

I agree. I saw people on Facebook posting about it, and had to look it up (granted, I do not watch movies). Sad that someone died, but the attention is ridiculous.sleeper;1546363 wrote:I find the national tears to be pretty hilarious on this, not the death. America. Where we use our cell phones to video tape carnage in lieu of calling 9-1-1. (see video link posted earlier)

I felt this way twice in (fairly) recent memory: Heath Ledger and Dale Earnhardt.WebFire;1546369 wrote:I agree. I saw people on Facebook posting about it, and had to look it up (granted, I do not watch movies). Sad that someone died, but the attention is ridiculous.

If I didn't already know how Paul died, I'd assume ccrunner backed over him with his car

Walker was apparently involved in a drag race at the time of his death, according to police reports. In that case, while it's unfortunate any time somebody dies, he dug his own grave. Who the fuck actually drag races down a public street in real life?

That's completely different. A pet is something you can have an intimate relationship with and would see on a daily basis.Raw Dawgin' it;1546430 wrote:lol i hope you make a thread when your cat dies so we can all say the same thing.

You, like that, Ernest T. Bass and Sports and Lady start a topic. The topic is "We hate Manhattan Buckeye." And stop ruining other posts and threads.

Drag race or not, it's reckless and stupid to drive like that on a public street. If you've got the money for a car like that, you've got the money to go play on a closed track/course without putting pedestrians at risk.reclegend22;1546432 wrote:Walker was apparently involved in a drag race at the time of his death, according to police reports. At first, some people here were saying, but Paul wasn't the guy driving, how could he control what his friend was doing (we all have friends that do stupid stuff from time to time)? And therefore many had more sympathy for him. That goes completely out the window with the knowledge that Paul and his friend were competing in an actual race.

Again, you can bet money that wasn't the first time Paul was a passenger with some driving recklessly. I'd also bet that guy wasn't driving safely and responsibly before he finally lost control.reclegend22;1546553 wrote: At first, some people here were saying, but Paul wasn't the guy driving...

As for the hysteria over Walker's passing -- I've heard more than a few people in the last couple of days say that they were really shaken up over this -- approximately 150,000 people die every day. What makes Paul's more special? It's almost bizarre in a way, because, often times, when these same people experience the death of somebody they are actually linked to -- whether it be a neighbor, a teacher, kid they went to school with, fellow church member, whatever -- they barely flinch. Oh, they died? And then go back to business as usual.
