It's normal to have the "state" own your children and not the parents. This just helps teach that and normalize it in society. I would not be very courteous with this either. It should teach the makers of this policy that you can't enforce your policies OVER God-given rights.

We aren't slaves people.. seriously.

So why doesn't the guy sign the papers and just wait outside the door for his kids to exit? don't most schools nowadays make people sign in when they enter the school?

you will all disagree, but I bet the school is doing this because of some dumb parent complained or tried suing because little suzie was picked up by her the divorced parent who didn't have custody that day and the other parent was pissed.

I'm on the list at my grandkids schools to be able to pick them up. I sign in and i sign out .. I'm Ok with that
What this guy was demostrating was the school policy was flaud and that the policy created a hazzard for the parents and kids who have to wait in line for pick up and those kids that walk. He was picking his kid up to walk home with them ( the policy had no prevision for this type of sitaution) but was not premitted to have his kid until all the other kids who take the bus or get pick up by the parents driving where gone.
His point is he is picking his kid up but not in a car or truck so his kid should be premitted to leave the school with their father just as if he was picking them up in a car.

School policy = stupid, sheriff = stupid, father = bull headed, result what happened~! I agree with an earlier poster who said this policy probably came about because of something that happened in the past. I hope the charges will be dropped, and the school figures this out.

This is what school administrators do instead of actually making the education not suck.
