Anyone planning on seeing the movie or did you read the books?

I don't know anything about the series but its preview on tv looks fun.

I read the first two books. The first book was awesome, and I can't remember the second book so it must not have been awesome.

I'll see it, but I'm in no hurry.

Ender's Game the book is great.

Ender's Game the movie is a complete butchered mess.

Speaker for the Dead (the second book) and the rest of the quintet series are alright. Interestingly enough I believe Speaker for the Dead was the original story that Card wanted to tell, but he wrote Ender's Game only as a prequel to set up the longer story that would follow.

I heard the movie is really good but the person who said this has not read the series. Books and movies trying to tell the same story will always do it differently.

The book was awesome. Will see the movie next week.
