Now boxing is a quandary, it is a judged athletic event that can be turned into a sport with a KO or TKO.

Well, I would never shoot a 3-point buck. :)

I don't have to tell them anything. I enjoy the outdoors. I enjoy hunting. There is a thrill in the hunt. And then...yes, I do eat it.

I hunt more for the meat so its usually the hang weight that I tell people. Deer-guts and skin= hang weight

Professional wrestling has a winner and a loser...isn't that what sport can have too?
Not a sport. Part of the reason the explanation was changed to "sports entertainment." Everything is predetermined except for once in awhile you'll have some unplanned blood.

Last thing I checked, professional wrestling also has competitions...there are belts on the line. There are winners and losers.
If I make a play where there's a football game in it but it's scripted then the people in the play haven't participated in a sports competition but rather a performance.

And hunting and fishing are sports when they're done competitively, that's not usually the case.

In all seriousness though I still golf avidly and may play on BGSU's club lacrosse team, but they might go too hard lol. 4 nights a week of practice and then games all over the Midwest is a lot for what I thought would be some good fun like a rec league or something

It's D1 club, not intramural.

Same but the shitty football/wrestling teams were Wilmington or Wittenberg and chose the good times school, OU. I made the right choice.

My organized sports career ended when I finished high school. I played intramurals in college and rec league stuff now, but I don't think that really counts.

O-Trap: I was going to give you a rep but I can't.........impressive that you pitched at college.

My only claim to college fame is being on the varsity tennis team at Wooster College but never playing in a match. I was the "first substitute". Quit my sophomore year when they brought in a bunch of east coast preppies that were better than me.

I mentioned before that I tore my achilles (right side) at 40. I would add that my Dr. told me that if I were to continue playing like I did after it healed, my other one could easily go. I decided right then and there to cool it because that was a pretty bad deal to get through. Partial tear, no surgery, tipped cast for 6 weeks (meaning you can't walk on it), cam-boot for another month, and took a full year for the tendon to grow back to normal size.

Today, I like to power walk........and golf, shoot guns and throw the tomahawk with Belly!

Ouch, tearing an Achilles is something I never want to do. Makes me cringe a bit thinking about it.

Thank!

And tearing your Achilles sounds horrible! I echo IWP's sentiment. Sends chills up my spine.
