Just ordered my tickets for this one. Can't wait to see these 4 teams go at it. Top 2 preseason teams and then Parker/Wiggins. I know there are a couple posters in Chicago area. Anyone else going?

I definitely want to go, but $300 for a ticket is crazy high

I'll see if I can pick some up at work (my company has tix at the United Center) or see if I can buy it off someone last minute.

Given the matchups I had no problem paying 600 for a pair. Center court upper deck.

I seriously considered it, and still might last second, but the price is too steep. If IU was playing, it's a no brainer, but not trying to pay that much for teams I don't care about...despite the insane talent on the court.

This current classic will continue next year with Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and Michigan State.

However, there will be another classic announced starting next year which will include Ohio State, Kentucky, UCLA and North Carolina. It will be a similar format, a doubleheader, rotating for three years with everyone playing each other. The sites will be Brooklyn, NY, Las Vegas, NV and an unnamed midwest site.

I do have a question for Laley, as an IU fan.

UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina, OHIO STATE? Why isn't IU in this? It would be on-par, if not trump the other event...

Dunno. I know Crean is really trying to get better OOC games, but I also know he wants them to be home and home or home/home and neutral/neutral on a 4 year basis. Wants the fans to get a big home game a year, so maybe thats why?

He was in serious talks with Louisville, Kansas and UCLA (once Alford was hired) for a home and home for 4 years with all of them. However, they were all too late to get anything done. Maybe sometime in the near future.

fans in town get plenty of big games year round in conference. I like the fact that these schools are doing 3 yr neutral site agreements as it gives fans outside of the college town and alumni around the country a chance to see them play. This will be the first time I see KU live since 2008 regionals at Ford Field.

For how much tickets cost, no, they don't. No alumni is trying to pay that kind of $$$ for Alcorn st, lipscomb and savannah st. The Kentucky game/acc challenge usually provided at least 1, but not anymore. They need to replace Kentucky, and IMO still add another, badly.

Not to beat this drum further, but I think Calipari (and others) are really trying to focus on the neutral site/ultra competitive games. Sure, that will mean a few less home games, but I'd guarantee the majority of the fan base would rather see UK/UCLA in Las Vegas, with national TV, recruiting exposure, many viewers, etc...than UK vs Mississippi Valley State at Rupp. Not only for the entertainment, but it DOES give your team experience in a variety of cities, arenas and situations. If this gives you just a small advantage come March, the fans would see it worth it.

IMO, Crean wanting to hold out for series' that require teams coming to Bloomington is only going to continue to put them behind the eight ball.

Got my tickets the other day. Spent $250 a ticket, but, for two games featuring arguably the four best teams in the country, it's well worth it to me. And I also enjoy visiting Chicago any time I have a reason. And watching Duke is as good a reason as I'll ever have.

Last second for an event like this where there will be plenty of scalpers just outside the stadium's doors is definitely the way to go, but, when driving all the way to Chicago, I want to know my seats are already accounted for and waiting for me. If I lived near the venue, though, I'd most definitely wait until the very last second to buy.

Shit, seeing how many of you guys are going, I should consider. It would be cool to meet get together and talk some smack. I have a buddy who is an MSU fan who wants to go. We could probably drive from C-Bus and drive back (would be a long ass night, but who knows). I just didn't want to drop 200-400 for a ticket when I have a 60-inch LED in my living room...

My company has a ton of tickets to the united center. If I can get some I'll let you guys know if I have any extras. Would be fun to watch some of these games.

I was online the second they were available and tried to get them and they were already sold out. This would be an awesome set of games to go to even for being an Ohio State fan.

The 60-inch LCD is a great option, too, haha. There have been several occasions where I turned down going to nearby games -- Duke against MSU and Louisville in Indy last spring, for example -- due to the comfort level of watching at home on the big screen. Most of the time, it's the best seat in the house. At least better than where I'll be sitting in the arena.

Nice. That's excellent for center court right. I hate being so far in the corner, but went ahead and grabbed them because I feared what demand would be like later. I'm watching and if I think I can unload them and get a better deal either on price or seat location, I'm selling and picking up different tickets. May check out a Duke site I frequent that has fans who sell tickets at reasonable costs ("scalping" not allowed). If not, I always have mine to fall back on.

The idea of getting my $500 back and then getting something last second at the stadium is appealing also, but I'm hesitant. Done it before. Saw Duke play Butler play in the national title game for about $50 a ticket in Indianapolis. Scalpers aren't going to eat their tickets.

I just get nervous because you have 4 huge fan bases trying to cram into a 23k arena. Didn't want to risk it since driving 5 hrs from Toledo. If I lived in Chicago, different story...

I thought about going but I already have a conference in Chicago the following I'm going to be at for five days and since OSU is not playing I don't have quite the full interest. Also a big part of the sport to me are games on campus
