Then maybe their best half of basketball. That was obviously the tale of two halves. The best and worst of OSU this season in one game. Ha. IMO, it was all about effort. The second half, OSU, all 5 on the court just played hard. First half, they went through the motions. This team can't afford to go through the motions.

Absolutely nobody showing up tonight for Ohio State. Doesn't help that Craft and Amir have been in foul trouble all night but still, terrible game so far.

Series sweep by Penn St is flat out unacceptable - one and done in the Tpurney is my prediction no matter who they play

Didn't realize barely sweeping an above-average OSU team warranted that.

Lenzelle is so totally my favorite player. I mean, blasting up unnecessary three-pointers when the team only needed a two to (a) win the game and then later (b) to at least send it to overtime. PURE GENIUS!!!!

One of my buddies hates Lenzelle with the fire of a thousand Suns and I get at least 2 or 3 texts a game that are full of pure hatred. Haven't heard from him since the end so hopefully he didn't off himself after those 2 misses.

I agree.

Most teams in most seasons with 20+ wins would chalk that season up as "successful".

This is the most unsuccessful and uninspiring 20+ win OSU basketball team I've seen in a long time.

I'm totally looking forward to playing PSU in the 5-12 or 6-11 match in the first round of the B1G tournament though.

Who'd have ever thought that team would be the stuff nightmares are made from?

Extremely disappointing loss. Really thought OSU was starting to turn the corner lately. Now this. Not shocking with how up and down this team is. Smith taking a 3pt shot when only down one point, and the refs calling everything was just a flat out poor decision. Need to get to the basket in situations like that. Oh well...now we have to go to IU and finish with MSU. Could easily see them lose out.

Lenzelle deserves the shit he is getting, but don't forget that Craft had 5 turnovers in only 19 minutes.Scott continues to make passes that don't give the player receiving the pass a chance to make a positive play.

Clearly, PSU and especially Newbill have a comfort level against OSU. When a guy gets as comfortable as Newbill was in the 2nd half the defense has to gamble a little to make him uncomfortable. OSU chose to play it straight up. All is not lost , Iowa has lost 3 straight.

If they do lose out they could easily be a 10+ seed in the tourney.

And that's very possible. Indiana on the road is tough, since they just beat Iowa at their place. MSU is tough no matter where the game is. And in the tournament, they'll be against a team like Indiana or Penn State and it's not like they'll be a favorite with the way they're playing.

About the only saving grace is that Iowa and Neb both lost around the same time, so at least they're still in the #4 mix to get a first round bye if they can play good enough to win down the stretch. Which is not a given, since they were atrocious against Penn State.
