I hate this draft, I have 2 guys I'm debating between and I feel like there's a 75% chance they will be the next 2 picks, lol.

My post is updated above as well.

Almost went with Boatright. Even had his name typed in, then made a split-second decision to go with Jones. Hoping he blows up in his second year under Brown. Mad rebounder for a guard with great scoring ability.

As for Boatright, personally, I think he's a better overall player than Shabazz Napier in that he is a pure playmaker and facilitator for others, in addition to a superb scorer. A good get this late.

Like Joe Jackson, I think the games in that league are going to be a lot more wide open considering the teams in there. Nothing against Marquette, Georgetown, Syracuse, etc...but they don't necessarily promote the most aesthetically pleasing, stat-piling games.

Both Boatright and Napier, who will each take 15 shots a game, should thrive.

Jones and boat right were my next 2 picks lol. It's really uncanny how alike we all think and how close this is likely to be because of it.

Agreed. This is a main reason why I tried to stick with guys who played in more open systems or where freedom for players to make plays is a significant part of the offense. A guy like C.J. Wilcox has the advantage of putting up some monster scoring games in Lorenzo Romar's uptempo attack at UDubb, whereas a stellar athlete like Jalen Jones should flourish in Larry Brown's more NBA-styled system at SMU. Hoping that philosophy ends up working out for me, but the players have to perform in the end. And admittedly, a guy like Wilcox is a risk with as many injuries as he's incurred over his career.

That's what I'm saying. At least twice so far I've found a player a pick or two before mine and they were then immediately taken, lol. I just did a quick list today of about 5 guys and the top 2 could very well be the next 2 picks.

If we had done this last year, there would have been some major players in the center category. Alex Len, Mason Plumlee, Nerlens Noel, Kelly Olynyk, Gorgui Dieng, Jeff Withey, etc. This is just an exceptionally weak year.

I have one in mind as well that I've been looking at for about three rounds, but chances are that, as concern over filling up the center positions grows, he will be gone.

There are a few other freshmen centers who might have an impact, but it's obviously a risk.

Any chance you can get sportswizhurd's pick again, Laley? I know you said he doesn't check the site very often considering how busy he is at work.

He is getting ready for work and heading in. He will make his pick after he gets settled and looks over the thread. No clue how quick it'll be lol.

Chicago is awesome. You can go anywhere on a Friday night or Saturday night and have a blast. Good bars in Lincoln park area for dancing, sports or whatever...just walk around till you find on you like.

You our can go tourist style and go downtown but it's a bit new expensive. Find a good New York style pizza pale or go to the wieners circle (in Lincoln park) after 2am. Ask for a jock late shake.

I just visit cause of my gf, someone else can give a lot more options for you I'm sure.

I check the site a lot, just don't post a lot. I work nights so I am more than likely on opposite schedules from everyone else. I am doing some digging now.
