When something good it’s always hard to fill the void with run of the mill substitutes … I love Ice Cream and some of the best (flavor) Chocolate Chocolate Lover ice cream ever is at a little place in Hudson, Ohio Bricker Ice Cream. I’ve been known to drive that 40 minutes to get ice cream at Brickers.</SPAN>
In Canton we have Hegges, Milk and Honey which I do enjoy ... but Brickers is still better...

We make all of our own ice cream right here on the farm. Our ice cream is made from a 15% butterfat mix (pasteurized milk, cream, and sugar mixture). 15% butterfat ice cream is very rich in taste. It has a smooth, creamy texture and blends well with many flavors.
We make our ice cream with machines called batch freezers, which make 5 or 10 gallons of ice cream per batch. Each batch takes about 12-15 minutes to make. We add the flavorings at different stages of the process depending on how we want the ingredients mixed in.
The ice cream comes out of the machine at about 23-25 degrees and is immediately put into a specially built walk-in freezer that has a high wind velocity and an average temperature of 30 degrees below zero. Freezing ice cream quickly is one secret of making excellent ice cream. If you allow the ice cream to freeze slowly, large ice crystals will form and a rough texture will result (this is why when you try to freeze homemade ice cream it sometimes doesn&#8217;t taste very good the next day).
After the ice cream freezes hard, it&#8217;s ready to move to the store freezers. These freezers hold the ice cream at about 10 degrees below zero. At this temperature, ice cream maintains a fresh, creamy taste. Check out our Special Homemade Flavor of the Week!

Dietsch's Brothers in Findlay, Ohio best ice cream in the world. Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk is my favorite from them. Anytime I come back up to visit friends/family I always make sure to get some to take back home.

Also a big fan of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

I just like all ice cream.

Recently been hooked on Shake Shack's custard. They have have some interesting flavors.

Chocolate and vanilla swirl with sprinkles from Mr. Freeze in Perrysburg, Ohio. The best ice cream in the state. Never had better.

The worst: Chocolate and vanilla cone from the general store in Deerville, Ohio. There was a fucking small band-aid inside of it. I'm pretty sure that town is where they shot The Hills Have Eyes.

I had a "milkshake" from a dairy bar in Vinton County....worst ice cream product I've ever had.

My aunt owns a popular and historic ice cream shop in Jackson and the "bubble" can hold it's own against about any ice cream product

I've had Mr. Freeze. Delicious. I've also had Ted Drewes in St. Louis, also pretty fantastic.

But my favorite, due to hometown bias, is the original Handel's right down the street from where I grew up. I would do anything for a Cookie Dough Hurricane right now.

As for store bought ice-cream, I like the Dreyer's slow-churned Fudge Tracks. I know calories shouldn't matter when talking about ice cream, but at only 120 per 1/2 cup, it's a pretty guilt free snack if you can limit yourself to just a cup.

Never been to Jackson, but the Bubble sounds delicious, whatever it is. Is that it in the pic above?

Also, slight correction to my post above. My cone with HIV sprinkles was purchased in Deersville in Harrison County, not Deerville. Just googled that sophisticated cosmopolis and it is inhabited by 79 people, which explains everything. What a fucking hole. Beware of getting any food there.

I just tried to stir the pot. I like both.

I used to live by the Graeters on Bethel Road. My roommates and I would have endless debates on which was better. One used to say Coldstone...GTFO!
