Anyone remember a few years ago we kept hearing that SEC teams score so few points because the SEC defenses are just to good and other conferences such as the B12 play no defense etc?
Well then Texas A&M joined the conference(a B12 transfer) and lite up the conference at 40+ points a game and now all we hear about is how SEC offenses are so advanced and can really put up points.
The bottom line is the SEC is overrated and I can't wait to play anyone from that conference not named Bama(I still think we can stand toe to toe with Bama) because it'll be a shootout that Ohio State will out shoot. : thumbup:
Thoughts?

I agree with everything you said.
I really wanted Houston to play a BCS bowl a few years ago when they had Keenum at the helm. I think if they drew a SEC team in their BCS bowl they would've humiliated them.
humiliated = beaten or competed with, not necessarily won

Exactly we saw last year with teddy bridgewater what a good qb will do to the "great" SEC defenses.

The SEC still has never won a legitimate BCS championship either.
2007: Florida won the ship but Boise State undefeated
2008: LSU went; but Hawaii undefeated
2009: Florida, Utah undefeated
2010: Alabama; cinci, TCU, Boise undefeated
2011: Auburn, TCU undefeated
2012: Alabama, SEC vs. SEC, OK state should have gone
2013: Alabama went with 1 loss, OSU undefeated
Unfortunately, you need an * next to all their wins.

Haha, you referenced undefeated teams (Hawaii, Cincinnati) who got crushed in bowl games by SEC teams who didn't win the SEC...

BTW, I'm not actually disagreeing with you either. The system we have now is really flawed. But c'mon, some of what you just posted is pretty out there as a legit argument.
I don't remember exactly but I'd bet you were probably calling Cincinnati garbage that entire season...

my favorite part is Texas A&M coming to the SEC after going 6-6 in the Big 12 and losing a first round talent at QB, they essentially shit all over the SEC.

I remember and he definitely did. Pretty sure he made the comment once that OSU would beat Cinny by like 3 TDs that year lol.Azubuike24;1515959 wrote:BTW, I'm not actually disagreeing with you either. Really the only non legitimate one I'd say the SEC didn't win was 2 years ago. Most knew Bama was the best but would have loved to see Oklahoma State play them instead of that shitty LSU team. And yes I know LSU was undefeated that year but it was a not a good team.

These teams didn't care; they got shafted from what they rightfully deserved, a BCS championship. And remind me of the Utah team that got blown out by Alabama? Or the Boise team that ran train on Oklahoma? Sorry, but the SEC has an * next to their(the conference lol) championships; no way to spin it.Azubuike24;1515958 wrote:Haha, you referenced undefeated teams (Hawaii, Cincinnati) who got crushed in bowl games by SEC teams who didn't win the SEC...

LOL seriously? Manziel has been the best QB in the country for the last 2 years with amazing talent at WR. MUCH better college QB than Tannehill. Comparing the 2 is beyond dumb. Also, for some reason I was a little shocked to see sleeper still crying about the SEC. Not really sure why.Pick6;1515974 wrote:my favorite part is Texas A&M coming to the SEC after going 6-6 in the Big 12 and losing a first round talent at QB, they essentially shit all over the SEC.

Manziel is only labeled the best QB because he went to an easier conference and tore it up. Manziel wouldn't last a minute in the B1G.Rotinaj;1516013 wrote:LOL seriously? Love seeing Sleeper back ripping on the SEC. Everything he says is 100% true. Bank it.

I think a lot of the transition from low scoring offenses to high scoring offenses has to do with improvement in quarterback play throughout the conference.

Are you saying you think there are 2 B1G QBs better than Manziel or that if he transferred they would stick with who they have?wildcats20;1516278 wrote:There are only 2 teams he wouldn't be starting on in the B1G.

That whole year was weak for college football. Hell Michigan and VT played in the Sugar Bowl, and they both were vastly overrated. It was more like they're the only 10 win teams leftIliketurtles;1515977 wrote:I remember and he definitely did. I don't think Manziel is any douchier (he might even be slightly less douchey) than Pryor.vball10set;1518146 wrote:Fixed for accuracy.
